So it looks like if you create a new character for Awakening, you don't import your decisions from Origins. But my Warden died at the end of Origins, and I just can't stand the guilty feeling of having her walk around totally fine in Awakening. I keep crying "But you're deaaad!" at my monitor. Surely there's a mod for that?

As far as I know, no there isn't.

As you can tell, if you import your Warden it retcons the decision you made per the DR -- no turning to yes -- and your Warden survived.

That said, it was brought to my attention some weeks ago that DAII retcons the retcon if you import that file over, in that your Warden goes back to being dead and you played as the Orlesian.

It's downright silly when you think about it, considering that Bioware should've known people would want to import dead Wardens and play as an Orlesian.

I wanted to be able to import your dead warden in DA:OA. The only way to have such a outcome in DA2 is to import the martyr preset.

Are you saying I can import a dead Warden to Awakening, do Awakening -> Golems -> Witch Hunt, then import THAT into DAII and everything makes sense?

How much impact does Awakening/Golems/Witch Hunt have on DAII anyway? Would I miss significant amounts of continuity by skipping those and going straight into DAII?

Awakening has an interesting plot that appears in a couple DA2 quests if you do it. It makes the darkspawn interesting villains in a well-done way, I think. Golems of Amgarrak has nothing plot-wise to do with anything; I honestly think it's mostly there for players who want a challenge. Witch Hunt has a few plot elements which are particularly relevant if you romanced Morrigan and/or are Dalish. It ties in to but is not referenced by one of your companions' questlines in DA2.

What if my warden lived, but I want to play Awakening as the Orlesian?  (My elf doesn't give a damn about Amaranthine.)  Maybe some save-game editing trickery can accomplish it.

Strictly speaking the Warden ends an experiment which went fatally wrong and thus stopped further murders, as not many would be able to stop this thing. Technically speaking the thaig can be saved if the rocks only destroyed the smithy.

Futhermore you made very good friends with House Dace and they owe you big deal. Oh, and you get to see - once again - that some greedy dwarf can't get his fingers off of Caridin's research. The mage of tevinter - once again - shows how good-minded the people of Tevinter are.

Even if you manage to do sth. like that, don't you think that further imports will be messed up? Did you manage to do it?
