But seriously: soloing Gold as a Vorcha Sentinel with the Collector Rifle in Operation Savage. LIFT 'NADES. LIFT 'NADES AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN BEHOLD.

Broadside, and not so much a favorite moment as a favorite match.

Was playing with my siblings and we met up with a random while trying to finish a gold match to finish the squad goal. We didn't make it, but the guy came with us to play silver so we could get some full extractions for the community goal. We were two Phoenix Vanguards, and two Asari Adepts. (One of each.) We were all on mics, and the guy turned out to be hilarious. He got us warmed up to joking on the mics while playing, and about one wave into a silver match on Firebase Glacier he got us laughing. Combine that with the vanguards making enemies fly everywhere, and we were laughing for 20 minutes solid. Every time I turned a corner there was an airborne cannibal, husk or marauder. I was wiping my eyes every few minutes to try to see enough to shoot. It was the best match ever!

We all added him to our friends lists, and I've been playing games with him all weekend. He was there for my second favorite moment too, which was us managing a full extraction against reapers on Dagger, on gold. Before this weekend I've only ever ended up on gold by accident, and always on Firebase White, so this was a big thing for me. It got really hairy with a few seconds left on the extraction counter, but we pulled through. It was exhilarating.

Edit: And I almost forgot my last game before the operation was over. I used my last missile to disintegrate a marauder. I wish I had a video of that. After spending most of the weekend getting killed by those ***** it really felt like payback to blow a missile into one, for no other reason than that he was there.

Probably the Krogan/Vorcha/Batarain teams. Promoting characters require no thought, killing 1 type of enemy requires doing nothing differently, getting extractions require doing nothing differently (just luck).

They said that wave 8 was "cursed" and that they had never gotten past it.

Every game we wiped, I told them, "Okay, let's try one more time." I decided to play GI, just in case I had to solo, just to make it easier. We chose Giant because it was one of the more easily defensible maps. As we started, one said, "OMG I'm so sleepy. It's 7:30 AM" They were obviously East Coasters.

I asked, "How long have you been playing for?"

Sounding like he was almost in tears, "We've been playing since 7:30, so we've been playing Reapers Gold for 12 hours...."

Well, everything went more smoothly that game. They defended inside the 2nd floor building against the intruding Banshees pretty well. I did my best to rape spawn and kill everything which was encroaching and assisting with the Banshees when needed.

At wave 9, they were pumped! They exclaimed "OMG we've never gotten to wave 9 before! This is the first time" Ahh so cute.

I just told them to keep on doing what they were doing and that they were kicking butt.

Wave 10 was kill targets, I believe. I was already celebrating. I used the last of my missiles because they could only carry 1 or 2 each, and we made it to the extraction wave!

Extraction was intense, and they were screaming "OMG OMG!" as the banshees and everything poured in, not unlike the other waves. And at 20 sec, we all made a dash to the extraction. They trucked through the middle, I ran around to the ladder. One of them and myself got to the extraction zone and survived, enough to get the commendation pack. What an sense of relief as the timer ticked down the last few intense seconds of cluster ****g mayhem.

After the game, they were so exhausted and happy. I told them they did a great job and to enjoy their Eagles on Tuesday.

It was actually probably the most fun I've had playing the game for some reason.

Good times.

Which event was it and what made it memorable?

I liked Operationg Mastiff. I played Silver games with my new Phoenix Vanguard, Vorcha Sentinel and Quarian Male Engineer the whole weekend to help other players to complete the Squad goal. Some of them weren't quite up to Silver matches yet but the more experienced players pulled them through.

The banshees showing up in non-Reaper matches when the allied goal failed was the best, IMHO.

IT would have been better if the reapers would have attacked everyone. It didn't make sense why the reapers would have attacked the allied forces but not cerbrus.

The first one which ive forgotten the name of! Killing many many brutes. Was super exciting for being the first challenge and i dont think ive ever been so happy to watch the brutes spawn and then trying to blow them to bits asap.

The gritty ones that test us and force us to muster, much like Broadside.

You might be cutting out 2/3 of the population and making some disgruntled with Gold objectives, but I do enjoy them. I like to feel a sense of accomplishment with these.

Helping out 3 noobs get their commendation pack last night on Glacier. I watched their flank with a FQE while they blew up everything with biotics. It was very rewarding and they thanked me. Wish there was more of that and less idiots running around dying.
