Who changed what rules?

The site clearly states:

Squad Goal: Extract at least one squad member against Reapers on Gold difficulty
Allied Goal: Extract 400,000 squads against Reapers on ANY difficulty
Special Circumstance: None 

A squad is four people. Extract 400,000 squads, they didn't say extract 1/2 a squad, 3/4 of a squad or 3.5 members, they said extract 400,000 squads, why are we still debating this?

Second, where did this information come from that we've failed? Why has it been taken down? Where are the sources? I call troll on this, when do they normally announce win/failures? I thought it was Tuesday. What a bummer, I played for over 24hrs on all difficulties against Reapers.... my squad must've extracted 60 or more times.

*sighs* It's not a troll, next time go through the thread first. Jessica Merizan, the community manager put it up earlier today. It was up for about forty minutes before she took it down.

There was a splash screen for the Xbox, I THINK there is one for the PC, but pretty sure there isn't anything for the PS3 at all.

Nope, there is nothing for the PS3 at all. We are literally the most ignorant fanbase, and it isn't our fault. Unless you are on the forums or read the Bioware blog/Twitter/Facebook stuff, then the average PS3 user has no clue about weekend operations. You just play the game and, every other week, you randomly get a commendation pack and/or victory pack in your store due to Space Magic.

Nope, there is nothing for the PS3 at all. We are literally the most ignorant fanbase, and it isn't our fault. Actually, this isn't a troll thread. If you look at the very first post, there is a screenshot of the message Jessica posted. If you go to her profile, you can even see the thread title. The actual thread was taken down by her very quickly. Now, Bioware is having internal discussions regarding the outcome of this event. Many people here witnessed the thread... several being people I consider credible and have no reason to create a mass conspiracy on the forums.

Bioware initially posted a failed operation, then quickly hid it because I guess there is internal disagreement or conflicting data. Guess we will find out the final verdict tomorrow...

Hmm....that could be interesting - no medigel or ops survival kits in reinforcement packs for two weeks.

They said "extraction" in the initial post so that's what most people went off of. Making another post to clarify it meant hardly anyone would read that. It should've been clear in the first place. At best, it means partial and full (lone survivor doesn't have extraction in it ). At worst, it means full which was not what people were expecting. With most people focusing on the Squad goal, very few of them probably managed to get a full extraction (I know I didn't). BioWare dropped the ball by not being clear with us the first time.

Oh, Bioware. It actually warms my heart that internal communication is... spotty. Makes me feel not so alone (my own workplace also suffers a left-hand-occasionally-not-talking-to-the-right-hand syndrome). LOL

Hmm....that could be interesting - no medigel or ops survival kits in reinforcement packs for two weeks.

I'm already down to like 7 medigel because I've been saving credits and playing Gold the last two weeks or so. I don't think I could handle another two week stretch. My God.

But it would be a pretty nice challenge, that's for sure.
