It actually looked like this

From: Admiral Steven Hackett
Re: Operation BROADSIDE
Confidentiality classification: XB-PRIME
Distribution: N7 Forces Only

Soldiers of the Milky Way – There is an old human expression: “You reap what you sow.” The word “reap” has been co-opted by our enemy, but this does not make the expression any less true. We have spent much time in recent weeks planting seeds. We recruited, we trained, we defended, all in the hopes that, sometime soon, we would have enough breathing room to mobilize against the enemy on a grand scale. Over the past few days, we did just that. Operation BROADSIDE attacked Reapers all over the galaxy, and we made them take notice. They expected to fight asari on Thessia, turians on Palaven, batarians on Khar’shan, but what they got was turian bombardments covering vorcha troops using human tactics in asari streets. It was perhaps due to this complexity that BROADSIDE did not go as planned. We sought a way to defeat a numerically superior ground force with little loss of life, but there was no sure strategy to adopt. When we innovate, our enemy adapts. Yes, we’ve seen losses, but a war worth fighting does not come without a cost. Take inspiration in that. I know it is discouraging to fight for alien real estate when we have not yet taken the battle to your own homeworld. Operational secrecy prevents me from saying exactly when we will deploy and in what strength. All I can say to those who are waiting is one word: Soon.

Only extracted once as solo rjust to get an eagle rest were wave 10 wipes because I prefer credits than a crappy event :D

Be mad

I honestly do not care. A few medigel and ops would be welcome, but I've got enough credits to resupply after the DLC.

Not enough players realized that a FULL extraction was needed for the community goal. Also, the endless waves and games of Banshees really take a toll. All it takes is one magnet hand to ruin the whole game.

Yeah not surprised ether. Too many people trying for the Squad goal that people forgot the Operations revolve around the Community Goal.

Alright troops, grit your teeth because we're going into Platinum with a medi-gel shortage!

If you were to really need *one* additional Medi-gel something is wrong. Either the team is too incompetent to revive or you're gettin into too many close situations that cause you to die

Id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I'm with Descy_ on this one. I probably could have saved a bronze match if I'd had one more medi-gel. That LZ on Ghost is definently a killbox.

The fact that I can`t see the failure post itself anymore makes me think maybe it was a mistake - could be we still won. Anyway, did the squad goal, so I`m happy. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if we failed though.

The possibility we won is very low not enough ps3 players to hold up on PC and 360 and the extraction issues.
Anyway Justicar and Phoenix combo works well.

Reapers are the most broken race. Particularly the Banshee. If we have failed 2 Reaper events now its because Bioware has failed to fix the 20ft Banshee Magnet hands. AND they decided to give Banshees a temporary shield to make them invulnerable to powers during their walking state. AND they can curl warps around walls and teleport through them.

In a phrase, we were set up. Because with such bugs in the game where an insta-kill can happen from 20ft away, at least ONE of your squadmates is gonna end up getting executed on wave 11.

I don't mind if we don't get a Victory pack this week because quite frankly they are filled with trash. But i do mind the Banshee overbuff + magnet bug. This needs to be fixed and re-balanced.

If it's true that we failed, that wouldn't surprise me.

FULL extraction is not exactly easy on PUGs, even for decent players, tbh. I've read ****load of complaints about Wave 11 Banshee magnetic grabs as if it's the only way one can be screwed royally in the last seconds when you're swarmed from all sides. Stray Cannibal grenade, Marauder Phaeston burst or Brute slam in the very last moment can also be equally frustrating.

I also suspect that many GOOD players could not be bothered much to farm Bronze Reapers after they completed their Gold Squad Challenge. They probably played just a couple of games before they were bored to death and instinctively went back to Gold.

The best we can hope for is that there was confusion in the bioware offices and the post was made prematurely, which would explain why it was promptly taken down.

As for those putting on their tinfoil hats and calling conspiracy over the apparent prewritten nature of the post, all I can say is, are you stupid? Ofcourse its prewritten, do you honestly think the devs who post the Hackett op reports come up with it on the fly? No, both victory and defeat letters are written in advance by members of the writing team in preperation for each event.

Why would BW troll us? Think about it, its far more likely that there are a few BSN peeps are trolling than the entire BW team. If it was a mistake they would have commented about this thread. Its far more likely that a)post never existed and B) a few BSN people are having fun at others expense (aka: trolling)

Now I feel really stupid. At least 6 matches this weekend the host left after the Wave 10 obj, and I would be the only one left in the game. So I would repeat Wave 10 and the objective and get a extraction solo. Thinking that I was making headway for 6 medis.

Go to Merizan's profile. Check her recent activity, see the topic title, click on the topic title, get redirected to the forum's homepage!

Why the topic has been moved away from public view I don't know, it might have been a premature post and the guys from the MP are still checking the numbers so nothing is confirmed, yet. Or something else, pick whatever you like to believe in, but. Do. Not. Ignore. The. Facts!
