Hello! Thank you in advance, for anybody who helps me with this. I've seen on the player world of Arelith they have text commands, such as -disguise. This -disguise function allows for you to change your name to whatever you typed after you disguised. For example, typing -disguise John Doe would turn your character name to John Doe (Disguised). Now, they have points in bluff or perform, the highest would count for any who want to see through their disguise, by doing so they would type *looks*. This would send them a message back telling them if they recognized the disguised player, and who their name is. Now my question is, how do I script this? :)

You dont. AFAIK dynamic names aren't public NWNX plugin.

Ack, not positive what you mean! I forgot to mention the *Looks* rolls spot modifier vs their bluff or preform skill to see if they recognise them or not. But, still don't understand your reply, ShaDoOoW.

The SetName function does not work on PC's. In order to do what you asked, You will have to use NWNx. There is simply no way to do it using just NWscript.

EDIT: It also sounds like shadow is saying that the NWNx plugin to do what you are asking is not a public download.

Yeah, I ran into this wall the hard way. I couldn't find any way via script to change a PCs name - which was really disappointing.

yes exactly, thanks for translating the NWN jargon into english Lf8 :D

And I don't think that the PW in question will share their kung-fu in this case.=]

I'm not sure which plugin shadow is talking about, but virusman has released NWNX Names 1.0.3 for Linux, the release thread is here. Scroll down toward the end of the thread. Not sure about windows support.
