Simple question, how do you feel about the way Bioware is planning to handle missile glitchers? And how do you feel about people who use the missile glitch? Obviously this a question for console players, I hear it's not a problem on PC.
I've read that it is ruining the game for some people, others don't seem to care. What are your thoughts?

Maybe its just me but the sound it makes when someone missile glitches makes me want to burn things.
I've played with 4.5 missile glitchers (the 0.5 stopped after a couple waves, maybe was just testing how to do it). 3 on FBWGG which I didn't mind too much as it's boring anyway. The other was on a UUG which annoyed me because I play that for the challenge. All in all It's not ruining the game for me, I just kick them/leave the lobby and move on.

They're banning people who repeatedly do it right? That's what I've been reading on BSN.

I've only seen it once... and it resulted in a partial extraction... I'm guessing it doesn't count them once they do whatever they do to get that glitch.

Honestly? I'm a live and let live kind of guy. Comes of being Canadian. I think if people want to earn credits faster, that's their business. I don't really care.

However given that there's a pseudo-economy going on with the micro-transactions and funding the new DLC, I understand why they need it to stop. Not sure I support banning - certainly we need to get rid of the worst offenders, but I feel a credit wipe or store reset would be sufficient for the worst cases. A temporary suspension would also work. I don't think people do it with malicious intent. They do it because they can and they aren't given a reason not to.

Well I hope they actually do ban them but I've yet to see it. Also I guess I've been really lucky as I haven't run into a single glitcher. Maybe its because I'm a silver guy. I play on xbox just fyi.

I read someone earlier saying his friend was banned 'for a weekend'. I'm not sure what's grounds for permaban..

i say more than a ban, especially for the ones that did it SEVERAL times. i would like a ban plus credit/pack purchase wipe since first occurrence for the player and a reset of N7 to what they were before they did it the first time. it annoys me but not that bad i just lure the phantom or banshee behind them for an insta kill if possible. but ive only ran into one of them as i play with friends all the time a minimum of 2 others and we kick people that bring strikers, falcons, ect because of this

Nope, pretty sure whoever it was is just a terrible player.

This is a cooperative game so I couldn't care less if you paid me a billion dollars, if it was competitive then I would care.

So what if some random person uses the missile glitch to kill everyone and racks up 1000000 xp, while everyone else racks up 1 each. Evyerone gets the exact same amount xp no matter how much you earned. It's not like the glitcher gets something extra out of it.

Besides if Bioware cared they would have fixed before release date.

Other than the most egregious offenders, I really doubt it.

Instead they'll have us drink the koolaid of self-reporting and continuous lobby hopping to get away from the glitchers.

At this point I don't really care.  If I see someone join my lobby with a Striker X, I just unequip everything and get ready for an easy, albeit boring, ride to 75k credits.

Oh ok yea, i knew they were banning. I'd rather they found some way to fix the coding that's allowIng it to take place. I'm sure that's 100x harder though...

BioWare's current method is working out beautifully for me. I don't get banned, forfeit credits, or waste time searching for a new game whenever a glitcher ruins mine and laugh all the way to my next game knowing I had a hand in getting them banned afterward.

Everyone that matters in this case is pleased.

I'm not sure why you would even play the game if your idea of a good time is sitting there for 20 min while someone kills everything. Why not just watch Conan the Barbarian (the original of course) and save yourself the money

They should code it so if a 6th missile is fired the rocket launcher explodes insta-killing the player ;)

I think credit wipes and suspensions will suffice in stopping people who use the glitch. They don't need to be banned per se. I think people calling for that are just being shortsighted and brash.. you know the 'internet way'.

As for if the glitch bothers me.. Yes, very much so when gold becomes a cake walk and a missile glitcher kills 20 banshees in an obj. wave and closes my 60K lead in one round. That happened yesterday... I don't care about being outscored but once the player started using the glitch I literally couldn't kill anything. I sat next to him in the hack area while he demolished the enemies.. not fun for someone who plays for the challenge.

Also, not that I care since I'm N7 720 but the missile glitch gives people an easy means to inflate the leaderboards.

XP and credits are not the at the root of the issue, at least with some of us.  It makes the game boring as all hell.  Nothing fun about sitting there while someone kills everything in sight with no strategy.   I will always leave when the glitch occurs.  Some will stay and just get the credits, which is fine because being in one game does not face consequences, but it is just not worth it for me.

Edit:  They probably didn't know about the glitch at release.  And they are banning people for using the glitch, as well.

^^obvious missile glitcher

That would be a pretty sad manifest for a missle glitcher.
