I have a feeling that if this isn't fixed with the release of platinum, it will be next to impossible to get a legit match. Either noobs dying constantly or people using this glitch. It's to the point on xbox where I immediately leave the lobby if someone has aStriker/Falcon/Scorpion equipped. Sometimes I spend half an hour looking for a decent group.

It's no fun standing around while one dude kills everything. It's a waste of consumables too. BAN I SAY.

I just want BW to fix it. Then none of us have to worry about this.

I have to say... I don't like missile glitchers. Just generally shows that they don't give a rats ass about the other players' experience in the game. [I say generally because sometimes people use it simply to help others.] Anyhow, it's a cheat. Bioware has asked that you not do it, it can ruin the game for others, it takes the challenge out of it, etc. etc. Whatever the reason, it's just stupid and a bad idea to do.

That said.. Saying that anyone that profits from that glitch is worse in my humble opinion. If it's really THAT big of an issue, then fix it. Seriously. Should people be cheating? No. But should people being in the same lobby as someone cheating get punished? HELL no. That's like saying that people should ditch the game because there are glitches.

The missile glitch existing is Bioware's fault and the use of the missile glitch is the player that is abusing it's fault. Leave everyone else out of it.

Giving away a free mic with exery XBox is like giving away a pair of scissors for every psychiatric session.

I report everyone I see doing this. Cheating in games makes no sense, you're only hurting yourself. Plus, I went down on a wave and attempted to revive myself since the glitcher and his friend decided to go afk for a round and when I went to use a medigel all four of my consumables went dow by one and I was not revived. No fun.

i say more than a ban, especially for the ones that did it SEVERAL times. i would like a ban plus credit/pack purchase wipe since first occurrence for the player and a reset of N7 to what they were before they did it the first time. it annoys me but not that bad i just lure the phantom or banshee behind them for an insta kill if possible. but ive only ran into one of them as i play with friends all the time a minimum of 2 others and we kick people that bring strikers, falcons, ect because of this

If they do it once, ban them for a week.  They do it again, ban them for a month.  Again, hasta la vista.

Hopefully they get the hint after the first time.  If not, it's a learning experience.  If not, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

This.

I have to remind myself to read while playing just to make sure that no one is firing endless missles when it seems like other playings are killing enemies very quickly.  This is distracting--I'd rather focus on playing the game.  I don't think I've run across any glitchers yet, but I ditch the lobby after every time I play anyways.  I'm paranoid.  Image IPB

I know this is a co-op game but that doesn't explain away why most of us would just tolerate someone destroying every enemy on the map with a glitch while you chase things to no avail. I don't want to be perma banned bc someone else wants to glitch so I report. I have saves from ME1 that I have yet to move through the entire series and I want to be able to utilize MP when necessary for those ME1 Shepards.
I dislike cheating and I don't want to cheat.
If Bioware wants to perma ban those cheaters, great.

I've never encountered the glitch personally, but if I did I would personally sit back and let them do a work. I think the rate of loot drops in this game are completely abysmal, and if people find a way to have fun playing the game then all the more power to them.

Now obviously I guess Bioware should probably go about fixing the glitch, but I don't see a need to go all Stanry Roo ding dong bannu on everyone for cheating in a non-competitive game.

I quit out immediately when a person uses this glitch.

1) what is the point of being in a game where I am not needed?
2) the game is meant to be played with a finite amount of missiles, making it challenging but not impossible.
3) it takes no skill to use this glitch and I do not want to be associated with people that do.

Here's a novel idea, FIX THE GLITCH they cant/shouldn't ban people for taking advantage of an exploit in the system they created. People paid money for the game. It's Biowares fault it happens not the players who use it's fault. FWIW I don't use it or know how to use it.

Another person I agree with. I don't do it either, but I don't get butt hurt over it either. Fix the glitch simple as that. The glitch is so ridiculously easy to do it's like it belongs in the game.

You cheat, you get banned.

It's not rocket surgery to understand. You know what you're doing is wrong, you're doing it anyway, and when you get banned for it, I will laugh and laugh and laugh.

Banning them is a short fix.  Personally its not cheating and its not affecting me as a player.
You still can get kills in games with them.
I'm looking forward towards a patch that addresses this and other issues.

It's not cheating it's using an exploit in the games programming. Cheating would be hacking and changing the games programming (also illegal I'm sure). Not too mention I'm sure over half the people using the missile glitch are 12yr old kids. If my kid got banned for using a glitch I would light the ****up out of Bioware's customer service. I'm sure when we were kids we all used the contra cheats and every other cheat/glitch there was in games before multiplayer. If Bioware has a problem they can fix it. They like to nerf and buff **** every week why not fix a known problem instead of trying to ban people who paid their hard earned money to either buy themselves or their kids the game.

Edit: Banning isn't a fix at all, it's stopping someone who paid for their game to actually play what they paid for.

I say wipe their weapons, mods, appearances and everything back to nil along with their n7 rating. If they still feel like being rocketman...hit em with the hammer! But at least they have the chance to play legitimately again.

I'm quite pleased they're not being given any chance at all. Those scumbags have already ruined the game for us, so they should lose their multiplayer privileges

If I had things my way, any and all forms of cheating, no matter how "minor" would result in a permanent ban..

Knowingly using exploits are considereded cheating. They banned people for using the host migration bug, which is an exploit. Cheating isn't just for hacking or changing the game files.

I'm not sure about permanent bans but a reset of all equipment and creds would get under peoples skin. It would also help to just patch the glitch,

It will also help in getting a lot of people to stop playing the game and just moving onto something else and potentially never buy an EA/Bioware game ever again. Sounds like a good business plan if you ask me.

Trick is, how do you prove that someone deliberately cheated? I'm sure a witty person could come up with about 50 viable reasons or excuses why they used or were in a match with someone that used the rocket glitch. Just food for thought. :innocent:
