orlais is awful, it would reallysuck for da3 to take place there the entire game. besides thay said da3 would take place somwhere more Fench, and antiva resembles france just as much orlais if not more.

Ummm... what? Orlais is based on France. Antiva is based on Italy/Mediterranean. Rivain is based on Spain. Ferelden is based on England. Tevinter is based on Germany/Holy Roman Empire.

That's pretty much confirmed.

@Maclimes, I thought nevarra was based on germany/russia?

Anyway, from what i saw of orlaisians in MotA, i really wanna go there. Castle looked great.

Would like to see tevinter too, would imagine it would be important in the mage templar war

Ah, yes, I knew I was forgetting one of them. Yes, Nevarra is Russia/Eastern Europe.

My understanding was that DA3 would be in Orlais AND Tevinter. I could be wrong about that, though.

Does this means almost everyone we speak to will have an orlesian accent?

Already reason not to buy the game.

Agreed. I can't stand that accent at all.

We have told the workers of Dragon Age 3 in the questions that we wish for a open world and being able to visit the imperium, Orlais, Antiva, the islands of the qunari, and to return back to feralden. By the look of the feedback in the question that followed the month after, they have been proud of our feedback. This game will or maybe contain a war between the mages and the templers And it will consume the world. So therefore we will get the Dragon age world in our hands.

I wouldn't mind visiting Orlais, what with the politics and all. It would be fun. But a whole game in that setting seems somewhat limited. We spent all of Origins in Fereldan (not a small scale but it would've been cool to venture past those borders), and all of 2 in Kirkwall (not even the whole Free Marches). The next game shouldn't be all in one place. It should include all, or a majority of, Thedas.

what i think is going to happen is all origins will start in Orlais. but you can travel all around thedas.

what could the bigger threat be that the wardens spoke of in DA2.

Hmmm, it depends.

I could listen to Leliana reciting the dictionary. On the other hand, Hubert makes me want to attack my own ears and plead self defense.
So, maybe, could we have more orlesian women, less orlesian men in DA3? Preferably bards.

What do you think of Lady Isolde's and Riordan's accents?;)

Good point. Thus, why we need more bards. They must have pleasant voices.

As long its not a LittleBig "city" with 300 places who looks the same<_<
I would like a Open World , something like Skyrim is a dream I know .
But if its only 50% of it ...  :o

p.s. ää don't forget about the ending ... I really dont know why but I think the END of a game could be important :?

I think that an open-world format similar to Skyrim would be great. I agree the location and desgin of DA 2 was boring while DA 1 was great but contained. Since they are emphasing the impact of the Mage-Templar War, a bigger world scale would be in order. I do think that they should also allow companions (that are still alive of course) from both games to join you or at least have some sort of impact on how the story plays out.

I personally miss the Grey Wardens.

I never played DA2 so is there one in the game or any mention of them?

Aside from the option for your brother or sister to enlist in the Wardens, the Legacy DLC is set entirely in a Grey Warden fortress.

And also the quest to help Nathaniel Howe, who is a Grey Warden.

I like it to be in Tevinter, it sounds like an interesting place to solve sinister plots and save the world and stuff.

I'm fine with DA3 being set wherever it's set.

But last I heard, they were at least looking at having us travel to multiple countries in Thedas.

That is what I heard
