Most players do NOT kick for low N7 rank rather low character level, low equipment levels, low weapons levels or ineffective weapon vs type of enemies , and no Mic.

I am not sure where you are running into problems understanding the above concept however, the quicker you gain this understanding the better off this forum will be. I am not trying to be a butt about things however how many of these topics do we need to see?

The best advise I can give you is to become more sociable when playing online. Making new friends online will lessen the amount of times you have to play with PUGs if not you'll continue to get kick for whatever reason someone can come up with.

Um...at no point was I complaining about being kicked out of a game. It hardly bothers me. I have several regular teammates that I play alongside and completely understand the dynamic of PUGS. (I've been playing online PC games since Quake 1 in 1995). I was only stating it because I found it somewhat silly due to massive gaps in logic that are overlooked during the decision making process to kick someone regarding N7 rating.

One of the benefits of promoting all classes at least a few times is"

- you get a chance to see how a class is played and what gun may work well with it
- you get to see how it synergizes with other classes
- you get to understand the merits of all classes against all factions, good and bad
- you have a better chance of possibly not getting kicked if you are asked to change to a different class to better compliment the team, even if you don't play it as well as your go to class, since if you join as a random, nobody knows you are the Awesome Commander Shepard and can kill in seconds anything with your biotic toothpick as you cater to your LI in the LZ

Further, I fully understand how each class functions based simply on their power set and the 6 base classes. I used to play table-top D&D which requires quite a vast and detailed knowledge to really excel in. ME3 isn't that detailed, but that only makes it that much quicker to pick up and enjoy faster!

Your statements are all good points, however, if I find I'm an awkward match, often I'll mic-in and tell people that and leave and search for another match.  I will just play my soldier on a team where it's a better fit.

N7 ranking doesn't matter. It's just an indication of how much one promotes.

You've couldn't of played hundreds of hours of MP and only be an N7 of 20. You've obviously have been spending currency on reinforcement packs and those have come with multiple character cards that would of pushed you above 20.

So now we have established N7 ranking is not the only deciding factor rather, the lvl of weapons and character. Can we please for the love of God end this discussion?

You are incorrect, sir. Spending money and granting xp to classes does not increase your N7 rating. Only actually creating a character in that class and leveling them up increases your N7.  So a level 20 soldier is N7 20. I could have a maxed out turian sentinel (from character cards xp, 5 gold bars) but have not made a turian sentinel character. But if I do make a turian sentinel and level him up to level 9, then my N7 would be 29.

Currently, I have 1 level 20 soldier, 2 level 20 infiltrators, and 1 level 19 engineer = 79. But I have maxed out all common and uncommon (as well as several rare) characters.

Heh, you know you didn't have to actually post in this if it annoys you. However with your apparent short fuse, I guess you'd hate to puruse the single player story forum where literally every other post is about the ending or what ME4 will be like.

OP is trolling? I could be wrong, but it seems like it would be impossible to have an n7 of 20 if you;d played a lot and bought packs. You regularly get xp bumps in packs by getting character cards for characters you have, so if you played that much you'd have N7 over 7 unless you never spend creds, which would mean you are terrible and should be kicked.

Yeah this. I've done Silver runs with  N7 1000+ people who die on every wave and consistenly get the lowest score.

To be fair, how many N7 level 20s will have been playing since March 6th, and have ONLY been playing with 1 character? In general, an N7 of 20 will mean the player is new, which means he/she will probably need a bit of handholding, will probably die quite a bit, and will likely have reasonably crummy weapons.

That said, I've played with N7s in the low teens who played a really good match, (and of course, played with N7s in the thousands who apparently still don't understand what the word COVER means), so it's all random anyway.

I agree that a history would be cooler to see, but in order for them to implement that, that'd mean they'd have to track all those stats for every player in perpetuity (well, another 6 months until EA shuts the servers down anyway), and I doubt they're currently doing that.

That's not how it works.  You wouldn't get 40 N7 ranks for having 20 Infiltrators.  You can only get 20 per class.  And your rank goes up whether you create the character or not.  My rank is continously rising from XP cards and I haven't played anything but the AJ in weeks.  At least that's how it works on the 360.

Manifest means more then N7. as long as you have the equipment and stuff for it you'll be fine. Anyone 120 or higher is fine for platinum. i've played with people under 100 on gold and they do just fine.

I find it funny that you keep your N7 low, can you give me the honest reason why you do it?

There is absolutely no reason to limit your multiplayer experience at this point in time. Are you that boring of a person that you religiously play a select few classes? Or perhaps (the more likely reason) is that you get some sort of joy out of trying to showoff infront of others that you can still succeed with a low n7?

At least an N7 of 120 shows you experimented and had fun with all the classes.

mine was at 120 for about a month probably. dind't promote until all my rares were maxed out and got nothing but character cards so figured i'd get somehting out of it.
