Ok so I know N7 doesn't actually do anything but as of late i've started seeing people with N7 close to mine or higher (sometimes a lot higher) and they have like a lvl 2 carnifex or something.

My N7 is 250 and someone in this game I'm in has 240 and his Widow is only lvl 2. I saw a lvl 914 N7 the other day who had a lvl 7 carnifex only.

Anyone else noticed there seems to be a lot of people who are only lvl'ing N7 for some reason. I have never seen this sort of thing before and now it's all I see in multiplayer for some reason.

:unsure::unsure:

Edit: There's a lot more then just these 2 but these are the two examples I posted. If it was only those two guys I wouldn't bother making a topic about it.

I only recently unlocked the Black Widow with an over 1800 N7 rank. The random gods of random numbers can be most unkind.

i've seen people with over 3 and 4 thousand. people just like to promote for single player i guess or they think the higher the rank the better they are at multiplayer (which of course is not true.)

I've seen over 5000. It was pretty ridiculous.

Mine is 2100. I get bored and like to progress when I play. It actually makes me step out of my comfort zone somewhat as I promote every class at once and then start with the class I play the least.

I'm resting mid-400s myself. I promote a lot to try new builds, since I refuse to sacrifice a small goat to the RNG gods and get a Respec Card. Played with a friendly person with a mic the other day who was hopping down to Bronze to help a friend. Asked if I got that high of an N7 rating just playing Bronze, and was shocked I told him so

So yeah, the day I hit N7 1000 is in sight, but it won't mean much on how good a player I am.

Hell, I've played with one of the top ten N7-ranked guys in the US. Didn't really mean all that much. You're skill is what matters.

High N7 + crap weapons = bronze grinder

XP gains don't scale between difficulties to the degree that credits do, so there are a lot of high N7s that have never ventured into gold. Consequently, even though they've got seemingly large e-peens, they don't enjoy the credit payouts necessary to max rares.

i'm still at 330 and don't plan on promoting unless a new weekend challenge requires it. :)

I'll only ever promote for events, which is why I'm at 300 exactly. If you promote constantly, it's not too hard to amass a high N7 quickly. Although whenever I see someone with 2k N7 using a BW <VII, I'll pull mine out and have a quiet chuckle.

Uhm well is the magic of the random number generator at the stores i guess lol
im currently at about 1600 (n7) and i just recently got all my rare weapons out of packs, for some reason i never considered buying anything fancier than a veteran pack a good idea, until they introduced the premium specter packs.

Also, i dont really felt the need to keep a level 20 character around, not even for gold, i usually play on gold with at least a level 12-13 character until i reach level 20 and i promote it right away.

Ive become pretty good with newer characters and to be honest its a lot more challenging than playing a match with one that has all the skills avaible.
Now with the introduction of platinium level i think i will start keeping my level 20 characters for longer, so im happy about that.

On a side note today i got kicked out of a random random silver match lobby because i was using a level 3 character... wth is wrong with people is only silver!!! ive soloed that with a level 1 character >.< whats the expected level of a character for a silver match nowadays?

i figure if i've promoted every single character since the game came out i'd probably be somewhere in the thousands as well. maybe some day........

people think silver is too hard because gold is just insane if you dont farm.
an expected level would probably be 6 or 7. its the level you get when you complete a bronze with a lvl 1.

I'm at 120 and see no reason to change that. A challenge weekend that requires it and I might.

That or if BW started awarding creds for doing it,

Otherwise I couldn't care less.

Well, if someone didn't promote their toons very often, because they were trying to build up credits to buy weapon upgrades... I could see how the N7 number could stay low eventhough they've bought millions of premium spectre packs. :)

I think some of you misunderstand me. I'm not saying there N7 is high or w/e. I'm saying how the hell is it that high yet they have like no rare weapons.

Another example was a guy with 240 N7 and he was using a lvl 2 Avenger....

Do they level up and NEVER buy packs or something?

Because we can?

Prior to the recent Reinforcement Pack changes, character cards would drop at an insane rate. If you weren't promoting, you were getting very little bang for your buck.

That's the opposite of what I'm saying though. You're saying you can understand how their N7 could be low even though they have bought lot's of packs. I'm saying that I'm finding people with HIGH N7 who have clearly bought like no packs at all rofl.

Ohhh... that would be from purchasing recruit packs rather than premium spectre packs... I would guess anyways.

if you saw a guy with a high n7 and an avenger 2 it means he has probably bought nothing but psps because he doesnt care about maxing his uncommons.
if he was using it though, i cannot help you with that one.
