I'm N7 180, all rares at X, ultra rates between I - IV. I continuously see higher N7s with ****ty low level guns.

Makes me double-take, especially if they're over N7 659, when they don't have rares at X.

People level their N7 because in quick matches people make decisions to stay or leave based on N7's. 300 and higher, most people tend to tolerate. You see someone at 100's, though on Gold, and it's a quick hint to get the hell out.

So now people are leveling their N7 so they don't get instant kicked as soon as they join a group or have the higher N7's leave.

Also, you can't compare weapons. It's entirely random. I can't get a Black Widow at all even though the only packs I've bought from the beginning are Premium Spectre. I have mostly upgraded Cerberus Harrier and the useless Scorpion gun, while the weapons I really want rarely drop.

I use mainly adepts and sentinels, and yet most of the equipment bonuses I get are related to shotguns or SMG's, and SMG's are worthless outside using the plasma SMG with ULM for 200% power recharge.

Random sucks. But it's probably their business plan, get people so desperate that they'll buy BW points so they don't have to spend ungodly hours grinding Gold matches (over half of which will fail) to keep getting character level up cards....

P.S. This game's AFK system sucks. 8 waves into a wonderful match against Geth where we're mowing, I get kicked by the game because I spent time in cover watching my group's other flank while the Hack progress. You would think by Wave ****ing 8 with no deaths whatsoever and speedy clearings the game would know better than to boot you from the group. And then it won't even have the courtesy to make it easier to get back with that nice group of people unless you invited them on Origin prior.

I'm at a solid 6500 - I like promoting and especially leveling up. I mean, that's one of the core traits of any RPG: Earning XP and leveling up your character, it's what makes it fun for me. Why wouldn't I do this? I can try out new builds without having to use respec cards and bringing a level 5 to gold is more of a challenge.

Considering lower weapon levels although one is at a high N7 - I unlocked my last appearance option for the common human vanguard at around N7 4k I guess. Buying solely PSPs will have that effect. Why he ran around with it instead of higher lvl rares I don't know. Maybe wanted to try it out - I like the sound and feel of the Avenger, too, although I seldomly use it due to it's lack of damage.

I did a few bronze pugs on the weekend for the objective, most of the games had at least one in the two to three thousand range, what catches my attention is the weapon they use, it's not often they have a level X.

The highest I have seen was just over 3,000 in silver, couldn't play worth a damn or they were just a rambo player.

Only a n7 240 and the surprise you hear when you use a x rank rare is funny. get accused of being a glitcher and all sorts, just never been into grinding characters if i dont have to

I'll point out prior to new weapons getting released with the DLCs, I did not unlock ALL the rare weapons until I hit over 1200 N7 rank. Heck if you look at my manifest I still do not have ANY of the uncommons capped! if you really want to laugh, I don't even have two of the common weapons capped!

Weapon capping kinda depends on what kind of packs a person tends to get. I went straight for the spectre packs rather than the lower cost ones prior to PSPs being available.

when I get up to lvl 19 I actually just stand in the open on gold, promoting makes you a better player and shows you how the game works. we're not grinding for rank, we're PLAYING with RISK.

it's too bad the game does not show hours played for MP, then you would see the few hours I do play is but a mere 10th of your sorry ass.

Not always. My N7 is 1980 and that's because before the change to the packs, all I'd get were tons and tons of character cards so I stopped buying packs till I had like 2 mil in credits and all my classes were at 20, THEN I'd promote and buy my packs and Viola! Back to 20, lol. At least then, the character cards weren't completely useless.

I got really bored of the MP and stopped playing it, otherwise my N7 would be even higher do to that fact - at least until the change in the packs to remove the L20 Rare Character cards if you had all the custimizations. That's how that works right? I haven't bought alot of packs to test it yet cuz I'm saving for the new dlc.

i'm lvl 630 right now, haven't promoted in ages, and yet my widow is only lvl 4. I also have all uncommons maxed except one - the mattock. guess which uncommen weapon is the only one i use on a regular basis.

i use to promote when I went on a pack buying spree, no resion to wast the XP from the toon cards,. But the store has changed so I'll probably not bother from now on.

I'm on 480 myself at the moment. I only ever promote characters during weekend events where promoting is necessary, so it's doubtful I'll ever get up into the thousands.
