Feel free to add this to the OP if you like, I found this effective and I think others will as well :)

Done just that, thanks :'3.

I agree with Electric Charge not needing Rank 6, the rest? Well, pretty much as standard from what I've found, hehe.

However, here's the thing.

Shadow Strike DEFINITELY IS MELEE DAMAGE. There's no doubting this.

Problem is, according to more than 1 person, if you take a Power Damage trait from the N7 Shadow Passive track, the damage on Shadow Strike goes up.

I'm currently confident that this is a bug - a visual error.

We'll have to get BioWare confirmation I think.

Cool!

And ah okay, just read what you wrote wrong I guess  but yeah that would seem like a bug of some sorts.

Also, an additional tip for Phantoms: new to the Earth DLC we can now see the Phantom's damage mitigation shield when she puts it up. She will put this up as soon as she starts taking rapid damage, however she will fail to put this shield up if TC and SS are used, as she takes so much damage (dies on Bronze, Silver she still has very little HP left) that she tries to cloak instead of shield. Make sure if you are using a Shadow or if someone else is a Shadow, do NOT attack the Phantom, simply let the Shadow handle her. Had many situations occur today where I would TC and go for the SS against the Phantom and someone damaged her, so she popped her shield before the SS landed, completely blocking the damage XD.

Also, winning a sword battle against a Phantom is hilarious, just sayin'

Awesome! Can't wait to play! It's too hot today to be inside but as soon as it cools down I hope to get the Shadow character. Sounds super fun!

Any ideas on dealing with things like Atlases on gold or higher? Even with the extra damage towards armor, I'm having a real tough time. :/

Cloak while in cover, Shadow Strike twice, make DAMN SURE you have an escape route so it doesn't turn round & take your face off.

It's not going to take them down in one sequence but it's as good a tactic as any, doing considerable damage.

Tried her on Silver, Cerb. With full melee build and full damage on SS, she can one shot anything but an Atlas. I was OHK Phantoms and giggling uncontrollably. I do have one question though, rank 4 on TC, does damage affect the Shadow Strike or should I stick with duration?

Are you using Electric Slash to detonate Shadow Strike?

If YES - Stick with Duration.

If NO - Take Damage. If you do, make sure you have 200% CDR (which you should have anyway) otherwise Shadow Strike won't CD fast enough to be used twice.

Rank 4 damage is universal damage.  Only rank 6 is limited.

This is only in regards to Cloak though, not the passive bonuses.

That's what I have been doing. On Plat, all my teammates died. Managed to clean up everything else by myself except one atlas. By the time my cloak was ready again, its shields were already recharging. :?

Well no class can do absolutely everything. Shadow falls short in places just like (most) others.#

Guess it's a lesson in "medi-gel" & "revive safely" :'3.

I just finished a gold/cerb/Vancouver match as a Shadow and it was rather enjoyable. Cloak/SS outright 1 shots any humanoid assuming you are using a few melee dmg increasing items plus weapon attachment. I ran the acolyte personally and I don't see why its getting the hate it is atm. It straight out depletes a Phantom's barrier even when she puts up he shield so charge/cloak/fire/SS = dead Phantom and I'm still cloaked so I can get out if needed. I'd imagine I could OSK them with SS if I used stronger gear/consumables but beggars can't be choosers.

Shadow is the best new class by far.

Just a quick question, does the rank 6 evolution "Shield Drain" of Shadow Strike work similar to Energy Drain?

If it would in fact drain the enemies shields it might be better than the 50% more damage.

Meaning?

I actually don't use Energy Drain (Salarian, right?) so I'm not sure :'3.

Dammit, for some reason the RNG gods have showered me in Destroyers, Demolishers and Paladins... too many of them. :/

At least I got a Fury, but still no Shadow/Slayer in 1.1million.

I'm wondering if it actually damages the enemies shields instead of simply restoring yours vanguard style.

Oh...that's a good point actually. I've not really noticed as, y'know, everything dies instantly (or at least the shields just DISAPPEAR).

She's alright. I've only played her with Cloak + Shadow Strike, and with that combination she's pretty good at taking down single tough targets. Lacking in crowd control though.

So is armor damage worth it versus shields?

Electric Slash is a long range (& quite wide with Radius specced) stagger & medium damage Power. Check it out.

Certainly.

You're already dealing with shields relatively well, what the Shadow lacks in is Armour management so you're better off getting a damage bonus to it.

That & FLAMING SWORD.

Tried the Shadow on bronze and so far I like it. If only for taking revenge on those phantoms. Best feeling I had for a while during MP when I took one down. Felt really satisfying.

Wow, thank you for this very impressive set of data. I jumped right in but I may use a power reset with your advice in mind. This class is ridiculously fun - just like being a Phantom.

Give Electric Slash a try. Crowd Control at its best. If you can Shadow Strike into a large crowd and not get killed, Electric Slash should do the trick.

Yeah, I put points in electric slash and left off tier 6 skills that don't benefit me (such as weapon damage), and it does fairly nice in crowds.

This class deftly maneuvers around the battlefield, and their agility makes surviving a lot less problematic than I thought. You have to flip and dash away quickly in gold, but they're not the liability I first expected. It's nice being able to completely take Phantoms out of the fight.

It has bigs problems though. The fact that you can be so easily staggered, interrupted or killed while doing shadow strike is, quite frankly, utter bull****.

Shield Drain from Rank 6 SS does in fact drain enemy shields and transfers them to you.

Why wouldnt it drain them to you? It says exactly that it would do so.
