O.k. so I'm dual weilding axes, I bought the axe from the dwarf in camp that starts with a V.  Also I have Aodh, is there any axes that are better or comparable in the game?  The only other decent one I saw dropped from the Spider queen, but it wasn't as good stat wise.

Those three axes are the only good ones available I think.

The axe from the spider queen is upgradeable, at least to tier 6, so it might get better than the Aodh.

Upgradeable? Like enchantments?

You can sell it to the Bodahn in your camp when you're low level, then buy it some levels later and the material it's made from should be upgraded (say from Veridium to Silverite). This upgrades damage, armor pen, rune slots, everything ^^

There's only a few items that can be upgraded that way, but that's one of them.

There is a good axe called Axe of the Grey (Silverite). It is available in the Grey Warden warehouse after rescuing Riordan and giving him the Grey Warden documents. I used it with Veshialle (the one I bought from Bodahn) in the endgame, dual wielding them as a dwarf.

Edit:

here is the Dragon Age Wiki link:

Aodh is a nice axe and quite easy to get as soon as out of Lothering. But there is something I never understood. Once, it will do fire damage and lower your cold resistance, the second time, in another playthrough, it will do cold damage and lower your fire resistance. I mean, wot?

BloodLine will upgrade all the way to Tier 7. Good combination for dual-wielding with the Veshialle (sp?) axe.
Also, the Biteback axe that you get from killing Howe is decent (nice skin anyway)... but it is Rogue-use only.

Bug maybe? Everytime I got it is fire based. (It should be fire damage based...according to the axe's story)

When I was DW axes, I used Dwarven War Axes for the most part, just because they were easy to get. Also, when it comes to upgrading if you dont want to sell/buy and lose a ton of dough, you can put it in the chest at Soldier's Peak (Warden's Keep DLC) and it acts the same as a merchant.
