so i downloaded DAO ultimate edition from gamestop. now when i go to download patch 1.05 it says that dragon age isnt installed and to reinstall...i did reinstall and same issue...halp?

If you're having issues with Impulse or whatever it's called, I would suggest dealing with their customer service, first. You could also try help.ea.com.

Downloading the patch (which normally applies for disc based installs) may not apply to you. Impulse is/was notorious for that.
Perhaps Impulse (now known as GameStop App) is like Steam and uses an inbuilt updater that you need to enable or otherwise activate?
If by "downloading the patch" you do mean from Impulse and not from here, then I couldn't add anymore than the above at this time. Good luck!

Or... You could get the download from the "EA: Origin" store. You'll just need your CD-Key to verify you've already purchased it, (and the "Origin" client, of course.)
