Hello, I'm crossposting this from the Steam forums since I'll probably get more and faster replies here.

Until a few days ago, the only game I've ever played on Steam was Team Fortress 2. I've never had any problems with TF2, so I thought I'd have no problems with the games I got from the current summer sale. Of the several games that I've bought, only Civilization 5 works without problems; the rest don't work, including Dragon Age Ultimate Edition.

When I try to log in, a window pops up for a split second and then disappears without me having logged in. If I deliberately type the wrong password, a window pops up saying that I have an invalid login, so it seems that it can tell if I'm using the right credentials or not.

Also, how do I register my Dragon Age game? I went to the Bioware Social site to register, but it says that my Dragon Age CD-key is invalid. Also, when I registered my DLC promo code, I got awarded with an "unrecognized item."

It's working now. It seems that having symbols in your password messes with the log in process. My password had a # in it, and upon changing my password to remove the single offending character, I could now log into the game.

I have a similar problem where my product key won't activate my game.
