I cannot connect to any platinum games. When I search for games I do not get any communication with the servers. Usually it tells you that it is communicating in the top left hand of the screen. When you try to join a platinum game this does not happen and you end up searching for a game indefinitely. It's the same if I try to start one myself no one joins the lobby or game. The only platinum games I've been able to join are one that I've been randomly thrown into when searching for a gold game!! Anyone got any idea how to resolve this?

I know this isn't helpful, but I have the exact same issue. Good to know this isn't an isolated problem.

Goddamn it this is happening to me too. I'm so upset I haven't been able to do a single platinum wave because of this issue. I sure wish I could do a platinum match but I cant and it's upsetting the hell out of me. Grah damn it to hell this sucks, I want to do a platinum match.
