I am having same issues here... together with the "can't authorize DLC content..." which allows me to play but without DLC... weird

I got this after updating Origin TODAY.

I think it is an issue rather than thinking that we got banned, at writing this I got it working ... strange.

I'm wondering if you can access the MP now? I was keep trying for 5days,Image IPB

I updated Origin today, and now its saying I don't have an online pass. And when I hit "redeem online pass", I get the error message with no option to try to fix it. My dlc doesn't seem to be affected, I'm just unable to play online at all. It was working fine before I updated it, and I don't believe I've done anything bannable....

I get this almost every day. Rebooting my system and launching within the Origin client is unreliable.

did you people rrestart your system and make sure uyou disabled things like upnp discovery and ssdp in services ? the latest origin update broke the games ability to function if there enables (oh yeah dont forget to disable upnp nad ssdp in your shared folders under network+sharing center>advanced options, for both private and public shares) why do i thin ktheres going ot be yet another origin patch that completly stuffs everything up in the next week or two>>>

oh and if you get dc'd from origin during game play just completly exit the game and shut down origin or you will get stuck on being a new player if you manage ot get back on its fckn annoying but since i have more than enough hours ot play this week already i found this out the hard way>>>>>

BIOWARE should tell EA to shove Oragin up there ARRSE and go back to steam since it at least works and doesnt break the pc every week when a ptch is realeased !!!!!!!!!!

I have disabled both UPnP and SSDP, and still absolutely no luck being able to play multiplayer.  I recieved an e-mail from support confirming that my account is not banned, so I have no idea what's preventing me from playing the game.  This is highly inconvenient...:pinched:

Still getting an error but now it'll let me at least download the 3 MP DLCs and the Extended Cut. But now it'll let me "buy an online pass" or redeem a code. Ugh.

I always "Run as Administrator" however I haven't deleted my firewall entries for Origin and ME3 and remade them with full access.  I'll give that a shot, thanks for the tip.

None of this is working...checked to make sure I wasn't banned, UPnP and SSDP disabled, Windows Temp files deleted, I deleted my firewall entries for Mass Effect 3 (I couldn't find Origin in the list, does it show up as something weird?) and gave it full access again and still I cannot play the multiplayer component of the game.

I'm going to try EA customer support to see if they can provide any help, but being able to play a game that I paid good money for shouldn't be this difficult to play.

i had to add orign manually but then i use mcrappee cos i get it free from my isp, i had ot "tweak" the default settings in it as well so it ask's me every time it thinks its's going ot do something, it defualts like most ots (of the shelf) products ot choosing to block everything otherwise.

oh and origin should when running create a vpn tunnel in your router mine gives me upnp setup's and lists it as follows
EA Tunnel    UDP   External Port 3659      Internal Port   3659      and my  internal network address

if upnp is disabled in your router that will be causing the problem most likely,

personally i have nat enabled but disabled all QoS and portforwarding so that multiple tunnels cna be run on the same network (which means anything that neads a vpn can have one)  and i dont use dmz's because it can be come a nightmare when several apps all want ot use the same internal port Image IPB

Still no luck...

I really appreciate all the troubleshooting you've been doing for me.  I'm waiting to hear back from EA Customer Support, so let's hope they can provide some assistance (although, I have no idea what they're going to suggest that hasn't been attempted already).

In the past, I was indifferent to Online Passes because I was never affected negatively by their existence.  This experience however has opened my eyes a bit, and I'm strongly considering never purchasing a game for the PC again that contains an Online Pass.

The weird thing is that I can't seem to play at night. In the morning, it's fine, but at night, I cannot play AT ALL. I hate it because I have class in the morning. Why would my school selectively block access at night?

sounds like the game is being blocked by either time settings down to your isp or the router your useing.

all isp's use something called traffic shapeing and throtteling of certain protocols when traffic reaches certain pre defined levels, most of htem dont activley block games however since origin changed the port number it uses to create the VPN tunnel in the last update that could well be the cause of your problems.

baby steps first are to check your router, check any/all advanced feature settings, make sure any time fields are disabled, disable any QOS setings (this is to check if the problem is local or isp based) disable any other blocking rules and ensure there is a upnp entry named EA tunnel.

if all of the above checks out fine and your still unable ot connect then its time ot start screaming at your isp /get EA to do so as well since there games traffic is now being blocked (they have several legal routes to force your isp to change its mind)

hopefully that gives you some insight/help :)

I found the solution!
Look in your windows firewall settings, and make sure ORIGIN is on the allowed programs list. The game reacted straight away to downloadable content etc (even when it was alt+tab'd/minimised). **** EA support, we own this ****.

oh sorry didn't see ur op, i had this problem myself just then - so i totally understand your position. I googled straight to this page..so i felt inclined to add my 2 cents just incase it helped. Sometimes if you have an internet security firewall (3rd party) installed, the windows firewall can still run in tandem. So checking both firewall settings would be advisable, but you probs have already done that. Definently a firewall issue for sure man. Hope what i said has helped if any. :innocent: And good luck my friend.

I reinstalled ME3 off my physical discs, instead of through Origin, and it finally recognized my online pass. I was able to get into the character select screen of Multiplayer, and right now I"m downloading all the DLCs again. Jeez, thats the one damn step I didn't bother to try, nor did EA help suggest I try to do. It was always to use: online repair/redownload, never: try your physical discs.

This did NOT fix the issue for me.  I removed and then re-added Origin to be on the allowed programs list for the Windows Firewall (I'm not running any additional firewalls), and I am still unable to play my game.

EA Customer Support told me to redeem my product code again (of course I receive the "This Code Has Already Been Redeemed" message) and select the Repair Install option for Mass Effect 3 in Origin.  Of course I am still unable to play any multiplayer...what a joke.
