Well, these guys are complete and utter idiots. They granted me a commendation pack (http://social.biowar...m/me3wchelp.php) even though I'm banned and never took part in the operation ))

I have had a simmilar issue, along with other players. I e-mailed bioware asking about the issue and recieved a reply from Ernest Tse:
Hello,

I have taken a look into your account and can confirm that you have been banned for exploiting multiplayer. We take cheating very seriously and we have decided that this ban will be permanent.

Problem is I personally have not engaged in any "exploitative" behaviors that I know of. Send an E-mail to me3accountadmin@bioware.com and tell them about your issue. If you get the same reply that I got, I believe there is a very good chance that there may be a glitch in the banning system used by bioware; if this is the case then this issue MUST be brought to bioware's attention.

I'm getting the same message when I start Mass Effect 3, instead of galatic readness screen I get a "Redeem/Purchase Online Pass", never cheated in game before, why would I cheat in a coop one? Got the game a week ago and was still finishing the campaign, this sucks... :/

Is farming Geths at Firebase White considered cheating? I know it sounds crazy, but that would be the only explanation.

Guys, after about a month or 2 I can tell ya that you have about 2 options:
1. Quit bludgeoning - EA/Bioware doesn't care.
2. Buy the game cheap from somewhere else to regain access to multiplayer (eBay, product keys on shady sites, etc...)

Bioware won't unban... they think they're the almighty authority so no point in getting headaches over it... send them some cupcakes... that usually solves everything! )

Imagine that.  Unfortunately, Cain has been proven right many times over.  Good luck, though.

This thread (and others like it) has been at the top of the front page for so long that I'm suprised that one of the moderators hasn't deleted it yet.  To date, no one who has been banned has gotten anything more than an email from Ernest like the one above.  It's pretty clear to me that BioWare/EA doesn't care about their customers...

This is getting rediculous! Bioware, I have played ME1 to ME3 and suffered through endless bugs and poorly written story, and yet I am STILL waiting for a response regarding what is almost certainatly a ban due to YOUR faulty software. I will be notifing every person I can of my poor experiance as a customer to Bioware and warning them against buying any Bioware product in the forseeable future. I am truly sad that it has come to this, but I cannot continue to stand by.

want to hear something stupid? I downloaded the extended cut yesterday and went online to authenticate it. I go the same issue as several others (redeem online pass), the only DLC i have installed are the N7 content, from ashes, resurgence and extended cut and I have not been online in ages so HOW could I have been banned? whatever has happened, it has targeted players who have not been online in a while as well.

sorry for double post, edit does not seem to work for me.  anyway, please disregard my previous comment, I thought I was banned since I had the same issue as several others.  turns out that something in my internet connection (I use a 3g usb) caused a online pass error.  fixed temporarily by using tethering via ipad.  for those with the same issue, check whether using another internet connection to the same machine fixes your issue if possible.

I think several others had a similar issue...hopefully they exhausted steps such as checking their internect connection.
