I'm on my 4th playthrough at the landsmeet on my second playthrough queen anora sided with me and i won the vote out right however on every other playthrough including this one shes double crossed me and i lost (and had to go through the whole pointless fight part) even though i had the majority of the votes especially this last playthrough when the vote is 5 to 2 soooo..... what the hell?
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that not all votes carry the same weight but for 2 banns to outweigh 5 is a little retarded and if anoras opinion is the only one that counts why even have the landsmeet? Why not just give her the crown from the beginning?
Does bioware lack basic math skills or am i seriously missing something?

I think Anora counts for like 5 votes, because I had all of the votes except hers and the one dude you get from doing the Crow quests and I lost. She is the trump card.

The points system they used works strangely. Here is the official answer to how it works.

Anora blasts through everyone's vote like it was nothing, all that hard earned gaming, naaawh. She's Queen.

It simply doesn't work as you think it does. That doesn't make it "retarded" just not what you expect.smokey0990 wrote...

That the queens vote counts for more than a lowly Bann?

Yeah, in my 2nd game, I deliberately told Anora that I would not support her for the throne. I knew she would turn on me in the Landsmeet, but was still chilled when I saw her denounce me.
Nevertheless I thought if I rallied hard to gain the nobles' support, everything would be ok. I was pretty pumped that one by one, the nobles began voicing their support for me.
And like you, I was sad that I still lost the Landsmeet despite only losing 2 votes.

Actually it does seem retarded. So many people are confused why they lost despite winning more votes. They should just make it based on the number of votes.
The point system they used is not intuitive and not clear. If they still wanted to go ahead with such a system, at least make Anora and the Revered Mother vote, so that people will realize that maybe their votes could have more weight. As of right now, there's no way you would know the Revered Mother's denunciation is worth 2 points.

I think the preconception that's at work here is that everyone seems to assume a democratic vote is what is occurring. Perhaps it's simply difficult for people to wrap their brains around the idea that this isn't the case? I don't know. Regardless, we don't need two recent topics on this. Please use the other one.
