I had wondered, if i had some place to train what my group can do ? Some intuitive combat to see each members strenght and weakness.

Any battle is a nut, and i win it mostly by dumb luck. Cause with all the numbers and words floating around i hardly see what is worth what. And its difficult to see effectiveness in speed, cause battles are only half realtime.

Anyone know?

No theres not really a place you can train and see strenghts and weaknesses, its all part of the game to experience different skills, spells and such.

Easier on the second playthrough ;)

Basically there's no "GRINDING" as many MMORPG's and other RPG's tend to do. It's part of the story, I love it since I don't have to train X amount of levels to finally see a place. You progress through the story, you get the levels you need.

Yea i suppose easier on second play. Hardly any game i play 2 times, and even if it will be years apart lol. Maybe Dragon Age is different, but it will be a one in a million :P

Well if that is so, then oki. I dont need levels thou if that means learning. Because i am still clumsy and it means nothing to me.

To know how things work and what does what is only really nessesary on the higher difficulty levels.
I'm on my third playthrough (all on normal difficulty) now and still haven't really bothered figuring out the mechanics "behind the scene". Freezing things with Cone of Cold and beating on them until they die works fine in pretty much every encounter. This time I'm running without a mage so things are a bit more difficult, but it also gives me a reason to deeper explore the talents of the warriors and rogues.

I'm really happy about that there's no need to spend x amount of hours to learn things before you can go on and play the game. Learning as you go is great, and if something proves too difficult, there's always easy difficulty to fall back to.

But then again, I realize it's more satisfying to win a big battle because you used superior tactics and clever use of abilities, than by sheer luck and/or because of stupid enemy AI.
