Destroyer + Typhoon + Devastator with ROF, shield, dmg = incoming nerf :P

As for the missile launcher, there is really nothing to 'explore'. It is highly situational and handicaps you if you want to get the most out of the damage. Fighting heavies in tight places, will result in missiles hitting cover and walls. It doesn't matter if they are able to do godly damage (not that they can anyway, very far from it), they are basically wasted.

I disagree, for reasons detailed here : http://social.biowar...061/1#13210163. Sorry you took it so personally, though...

EDIT: Included link to Destroyer Overview thread. There was some interesting discussion in there earlier.

I might give missiles another try being able to hit / stagger get hunters while im staggered sounds like it could be win. The typhoon is awesome but if your getting geth shotgunned you cant fire it.

Problem is, you don't have time to use it, and you need to sacrifice something to use it, and wihtout lvl 6 in missile it's worthless.

Question!

Maybe it's the bad translation, but my copy of the game tells me that missile launcher uses 50% of you MAX shields, not 50% of basic ones. Can anyone comment on this?

P.S. Not that it matters, i used the respec card to get rid of it, just wondering :)

It uses 50% of the shileds you have at that moment. I don't use the missle launcher. Put your points into fitness for sure

i dont have the typhoon and my harrier is I
would you go like this

Thyphoon I > krysae X > harrier I > mattock X

ps: i cant see the hurricane being not viable, maby not the best, but a strong option

I'll try leaving the missile launcher off next time, but I like the knockback - always seems to be saving you during reloads, it feels a lot like carnage that fires itself without stopping your bullets.

I have decided on the geth pulse rifle by the way. the harrier is the only other option, but the recoil is no good at distance. .I 'm a headshot guy so the lack of damage is lessened.

The Destroyer doesn't really have an answer for Phantoms. It's frustrating, but all you can do is try to keep them off balance with a hail of bullets, the grenades will take too long and you will be dead before the animation completes often.

I disagree about the revanent, its a lesser typhon, and so it makes a good AR to use until you can get the typhoon. Pair it up with a Piranha.

I have a harrier 1 and I have to camp ammo boxes like crazy, I think I'm going to switch to the revenant....

The Harrier at Medium/Long range coupled with the Piranha at short range is a nice combo. The Harrier is definitely not useless on the Destroyer. Your weapons analysis is wack.

I do very well with a Revenant X with a stability damper... This is your BEST choice other than the Typhoon. Other than that... good info.

So how does he escape sync kills? I have never had so much difficulty escaping from Banshees with a character. When I've dodged five times and ran for ten seconds and he still gets grabbed, I'm not going to screw with using him.

Typhoon is great with this class and I must agree that extra shields is more useful than extra damage. The longer I can sit with my typhoon at full speed the faster things die and with the 40% shield buff I can shrug off things like geth rockets and random fire.

At the moment I'm running with a 6/0/6/6/6 build, specced for tanking.  I use a typhoon for boss killing but I find the piranha mows through trash enemies..you can take 2 or 3 pyros and hunters with a single clip if you aim for the head, and at short range you should be ;)

Love this class.  Paladin is confusing, slayer is weak and the ninja is just too squishy for me (plus I'm sick of enemies hitting me during the animation, I'm cloaked ffs!)

as a soldier fan I love the Destroyer, finally a class that is a real actual soldier

I have specced mine a few different ways trying stuff out, but atm I have mine specced around specific weapon and equipment I use

I currently use it with the Sabre - a gun that utterly destroys everything in front of it, currently messing around with what to have as a secondary, prob be a shotgun of death

for devastator mode, I went with +25% accuracy, since I wanted to be able to spam the Sabre with its increased rate of fire while still being able to control it fairly well, I like the gun with a stability damper, but at the end of the day the armour piercing is more useful, so now I can basically have both to some degree

then went with mag size, so I got 12 shots in a clip, didn't really need the extra rate of fire buff imo since its basically a marksman rifle and the increased rof is already pretty much spot on imo, more ammo in a clip helps with the crowd control aspect, with the Sabre you can lock down groups of enemies very effectively by just jumping quickly between targets instead of killing one guy then moving onto the next so more bullets before a reload can help there

then I went with the +15% damage for more head exploding goodness

other stuff fairly standard, although I did go for the 10% power bonus (that also decreases weapon weight, which is a bit pointless on destroyer) not sure why, maybe I wanted to show a bit extra grenade loving, can't say this choice really matters though imo, alternative is only a 7.5% increase in damage

grenades I went for damage and force, increased carry cap and then extra grenades launched

this is all built around me currently using Stronghold package 5, I desperately want more Warfighter packages though (I only have 2) since if I get that maxed out I could swap that in

then instead of extra grenades choose the extra damage etc

then last stage of the suit could go for shields instead and the warfighter packages still gives me the +15% damage

although only on ARs, but tbh using a Sabre, I haven't found a need for anything else even though as I have said I have been carrying around a few test alternatives, even Phantoms, the bane of my existence as a soldier beforehand, I can now actually stand up to and kill

very very fun class to play, you feel powerful and are powerful, but the ranged units like Nemsis and Ravager can really mess you up if you get careless

It is defensive so any Map where you can watch the entrances and i play on Gold
Rather than a Tank, this build is a DPS and support set. You will deal out enough damage and knockback so that your allies never get hit. Obviously without Fitness and with ML's Shiled penalty this isnt a build you can stand in the middle of the room with, but if you keep to cover you suppress the hell out of the enemy, also is surprisingly good against Banshees
