Hi everyone,
I hate to be coming with all these questions relating to the same topic. Anyhow, I have recently come across an issue that I have been hardpressed to find a solution too. Here is this problem:
I have successfully been able to add new models to the toolset as placeables thanks to the help of one of the forum members. However, When I add multiple models and create separate blueprints for each of them they will all show up as the same model.
Let me explain, I have widget 1 and widget 2 both blueprints have two completely different models, names, I.D.s, and lines in the 2da. I placed Widget 1 on to the map, it shows up fine, I then placed Widget 2 on to the map and it shows up as the same model as Widget 1. I then checked the properties for Widget 2 and nothing had changed. Not only that, but after I tried making basic Cube and Cone models and added them to the toolset. Both of them show up perfectly fine and unaffected by the other models.
Here is the kicker: if I started with, let's say, putting the Cone model on to the map both Widget 1 and Widget 2 would forever show up with the Cone Model. However, the Cube would still work perfectly fine.
I have tried exporting from 3ds Max 8 and gmax and I find myself with the same situation. I can't seem to figure this one out so any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Check the names of the files and the geometry names IN the file. you can not have ANY duplicate name or that geometry could show up when called from another file.

That is exactly it! Going back now I realized that I hadn't changed any of the names of the objects in Max so they were all box_01. So then the toolset took them as the same model. Thanks again Hellfire, you have been a great help.
