KOTOR2

Really high hopes drowned in the sea of bugs of an unfinished game...

*sigh*

 I played it 7 times.  That was 4 more times then KOTOR.

For me, most disappointing game:

Gothic 3.  It didn't have the Gothic feel, oh and the boars, ugh

KotOR 2 was my favorite game until I realised it had no ending. But at least modders restored the endings.

Disappointment? There is a particular game that was supposed to be a cross between JRPG/MMO. Just make your MMO if you want an MMO. (Phantasy Star Universe. Worst. Game. Ever.)

Only other disappointing game I can come up with at the moment is Jeanne d'Arc. (PSP) I thought the addition of monsters might make the story more interesting, but it ruined all hope of a good story. I'm sure everyone loved how the English guys were literally demons in one part.

Link please?

I'd really like to play this game to a proper finish one day.

Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3. I tried to like these games but I just found that I quickly became bored with them.

hmm probally empire total war, however they have considerbly redeemed themselves and it was Creative assemblys fault for forcing a release date on the game so they could maximise profits. This was a true leaked document and the director and creator of Empire total war felt so ashamed.

Cosniderbly patched up the game has been (still with a bit more needed) but much progress has been made.

TSLRC - I believe that's where I found it. A lot of things restored, even some endings if I understand correctly. (Haven't finished it yet.)

On Topic: The Witcher. It's an okay game, but I had built up such an image for it from reveiws and such. And there are parts of the game that I think I'm supposed to take seriously, but I can't.

Too shiny, too ... cliche, too bright, too frustrating. I couldn't take it seriously with its lack of conflicts and complete lack of realism, sickly sweet graphics and onedimensional companions.

Fable
I was just laughing most of the time. It was far to comical and unrealistic for me. And horribly unbalanced. The quest with the white werewolf? One time I took one of the great mauls and hacked the wolves so quickly away I got the three howl-sequences where the white boss calls for help within ca. fifteen seconds. And the Boss was dead within eighteen seconds. (Personal best record for a boss fight, ca. twenty seconds :D )

NwN2 was a great disappointment as well... horrible, horrible writing...

" Impossible Mission " for the Atari 7600.

I played and played as a child and almost beat it.... i thought.

Than read an article online about it back in 2000.

Found out the game was released unfinished and it had no last puzzle piece to find.

Guess the title of the game was befitting :P

these are fairly good games.  Although the background music is lovely in the elder scrolls series, I noticed I enjoyed the game much more with the music turned off lol  It always had a sleepy boring effect to it that just made me want to quit playing.

The best games in the Elder Scrolls series have to be Arena and Daggerfall!

I've fallen asleep while watching my brother play Oblivion before. The music really makes my eyelids heavy. I like the music though.

Definitely Deus Ex 2, man that was a colossal failure due to the person calling the shots. (Harvey Smith) and Warren Spector for putting him as project lead while he was going through a divorce. Responsible for the company failing as well due to how bad the game was compared to part 1.

Icewind Dale. I was expecting it to be as good as Baldur's Gate. It wasn't.

Final Fantasy VIII. FFVI was the second rpg I ever played and I absolutely loved it. Then VII came out and I expected it to be as good. It wasn't even close. Then VIII came out and I figured it couldn't possibly be worse than VII, I was wrong. Luckily they redeemed themselves with IX.

Dungeon Keeper 2. It was a good game, but not as a sequel to Dungeon Keeper 1.

Sounds weird eh? I do hope that makes sense.

Without a doubt, it has to be Hillsfar. Many or most of the other D&D Goldbox titles were entertaining, fun, and worth both the time and money invested. But this abomination of video gaming lost me in the very first hour of play with pretty prancing ponies and arcade like animations.

I am so thankful for AL:3 in the NWN mods for restoring honor to these lands of FR.

WARCRAFT 3 + WORLD OF WARCRAFT BOTH BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENTS OF BLIZZARD

i forgot to mention these, they lost total respect from me with the whole animae crap and cartoony look. Also the orks are now spiritual and have this sense of honor which is alright i suppose but compared to the humans its kind of stupid.

I cant take the warcraft francise seriously anymore, when it was like warcraft 1 and 2 with the blood and the bashings it felt dark and brooding. Now its just a shadow of itself.

I personly was never disappointed in Blizzard games because they never gave me a reason to expect much from it.

Sure the story of warcraft 3 was alright, but it was ruined by stuff such as wooden tanks and helicopters. I hate seeing such modern stuff in medievalish games. Ruins the setting.

Dungeon Lords, definately. It came out promising a lot, yet none were kept. The game came out without any proper character customization. Area's were empty until suddenly a hord of giant scorpions ambushed you from behind. character build-up was nigh impossible. Many of the spells were yet to be put in the game through patches..I could go on, but I'll leave it at that. It's a crappy game, that is all there is to it.

At least I didn't get the Lifetime subscription, phew!

Oblivion was the most dissappointing though, since it was a step back from Morrowind in many areas, with practically no advancement in anything other than shiny.
