*PC Version*

I tend not to like using exploits myself, but made this discovery recently by accident. So here it is, for what it's worth.

1. Find  'essence of' object.
2. Go into spirit form (it's the slowest) and move close to the essence without using it.
3. Repeatedly click on the essence as fast as you can. R-mouse

Instead of:
'permanent +1 to attribute'

up comes:
'permanent +1 to attribute'
'permanent +1 to attribute'

Checked my character's attributes and yes - 2 attribute points! It  works for me anyway.

The Maker will surely smite me royally at some point for discovering this and quite right too.
Apologies if someone's already found it. Hey, life's too short to read everything in this forum.

Don't think the Chantry will overlook this...

Hells, the game already breaks it's own rules so many times (I'm looking at you Dragon Armor and extra skill "books"), what's one more exploit.

I've gotten more than 30 points from one single fountain.
At least for me, it works best by standing a tiny tad too far away,
then make a quicksave, and during that quicksave start pressing as fast as possible.
The quicksave can also double up if i'm not content with the amount of free points,
by simply reload and try again, and the slow crushing prison form seem to work best.

It was once possible to relocate stats from any attribute into any other attribute,
by allocating free points into the attribute you dont need, then reset and then de-allocate,
see  Free attribute points, Doesnt work on v1.04 tho.
Here is a list of a bunch of exploits, including fade exploit, fre attribute exploit, and another 100 exploits

If you're going to use the exploit on a PC you may as well just open the console and give yourself stats. Same thing.

But where's the satisfaction in that? It's fun finding loopholes and exploits, even if you don't keep the effects. Not sure I'd look them up, mind; I have the dev console if I just want to cheat, which I have done many a time.

This way requires actual skill.

I wonder where do people find these four-year-old Jurassic threads to resurrect.

At the back of the forum, presumably.
