Because you could be more mature than the lot of them, for instance.
Anyway, I kind of understand you, OP. That said, this system makes it possible to get free DLCs, so it's better than nothing.

Complaining about FREE stuff.
Get out.
Sorry but didn't everyone pay for the game either normal or CE version. Therefore, although technically all these DLC's etc are "FREE". You couldn't use them without having Mass Effect 3 installed. And let's just consider a hypothesis here:
WOW the ending on ME3 was just awesome, really wrapped the series up well. I don't feel aggrieved in the slightest. Everyone in the community is happy (well not 100% but that never happens). Let's get some DLC's out there we can charge £10-15 quid for a MP map.
But in reality that wasn't anywhere near the case. An awful lot of people were unhappy and we finally got the EC + patch. Now on top of all the issues with the ending, EA/BW have managed to break something in the MP version, so a lot of people now can't play a component that they have paid for....So are the DLC's "FREE" because of these problems. And if you can't connect to play matches or disconnect constantly...what use are they to anyone.
Singleplayer DLC's please, at least ALL of us can play these. And yes, I would pay to a point.

The OP is so angry because of all the ppl venting their spleen's by a seemingly innocuous opening post which didn't really warrant some of the replies she got. Personal attacks should not be used but it's a sad fact when people struggle to communicate properly, they resort to this method. It does seem to go beyond that though...
And quite honestly, the shop system seems to work well for some, i.e. they get all the decent stuff and others well...just more and more crap. It should at least recognise which class/race you play regularly and which weapons you use most often. Then give you upgrades based on that.
With the class/race, I would prefer to choose these manually. And I'm not saying here to pay for that privilege. Just not give classes/races out randomly in packs. Coz some of us are not really bothered about playing as every single class/race combination possible.
EDIT: Saying that, you do at least have some chance of a rare item without having to rack up hundreds of hours gameplay to earn them. Which some don't have the time or inclination to do.

Some people on here seem to have problems communicating with real-life women. They get uncomfortable when a female expresses a strong opinion, which is something the anime characters they're used to would never do.

That is the ultimate goal of this MP; to collect all the stuff. Even with the random system, its still all a matter of investment.
...
I almost agreed with you when I stumbled into this gem. YESSS! The GOAL of playing a GAME is to collect VIRTUAL, NON-EXISTING, PIXELSTUFFS that has absolutelly no value in any sense and forget all in some weeks after stop playing it. Yess, this is it, not the stupid idea to play a game for FUN, EXCITMENT, overcome CHALLENGES with teamwork and so on, noooooo what a silly thought! Oh my, what a silly boy was I during the 80s, early 90s when me and many other played games like Wizard of WOR for FUN but we did not got any virtual stuff to collect. Thank God, now it is different, I can forget these stupid ideas and play a game for having shiny, multi-colored, pixelweapons, whoohoo!
/facepalm

What's funny is I've never encountered most of them before, or at least I don't remember if I have. You'd think I punched them in the face and called their mothers trollops with my original post. I think the current system rewards a certain type of player, there's a cachet in certain circles to having maxed weapons and such, so they get "bragging rights". And it's clear from the tone of their responses that bragging rights is the main draw of the game for them.

Care to elaborate ? Not everybody knows someone else's gender in the internet. If I don't know, I'll use the "(s)he" thing or rephrase it so I can use "they". How that's worse than assuming you're a dude ?

They and (s)he are more polite ways to do it. but using "he/she" and "it" are some of the most offensive ways, specially when you are talking with TG people. "He/she" and "it" are used to demean the other person.

I think context shows whether a person is being disrespectful or simply trying to not assume gender. The entire post generally shows a person's attitude, if the overall tone is snarky and dismissive, the attention to gender pronouns is probably not meant as a mark of respect, in a neutral post it's probably meant sincerely.
