Not bad! :D
I rushed right from the beginning to the Nashkel Mines and killed this Bounty Hunter(Wolfstar? dunno..)
He has -in Vanilla- this +2 Longsword with +1 Cold Damage. In my BGT it gives +1W4 Cold.
But even with STR 18/2x im almost never doing xx damage, lol!
And only for info: The normal Kobolds have more HP, are harder to hit( especially for a F/M/T -_-)
AND GIVE ONLY 5 XP!!!!!
Oh and do you know the small bridge before you come to the 3 Traps?
I had to lure them with an charmed Spider(poor sod *g), so i could squeeze through.
I was awaited by 2 Kobold Shamans and their Guards, who cast Slow(3rd Grade spell!) at me, because i uncloaked,
so i could spot and disarm the nasty traps. Well i flew as fast(lol) i could.
Here's what happened after my first flight-attempt after load screen:

Image IPB

Fast little fu**ers!

After Load i managed it and copied Skellie with the Tazok Assassination.
This was the first time the F/M/T shined, because his Double Magic Missiles always interrupted his casting :D
..Well but i couldnt just walk out, because Tazok also called for his minions and they all awaited me in the front room

Oh, and have i mentioned, that they arent the "normal" Kobolds, but Elite and Guard?
They even hit me with Fire Arrows, when i had a Armor class of -11 (sic!) by Potions!

@Skellimancer: "What kind of mods have you added to cause such chaos? lol"
Well this is not only a "mod", thats the BIG WORLD!
Its a program, that downloads all known Mods(Npc, Items, Merchants, Quests etc.) and Tweaks(AI, Spells, Skills, Damage Adjustment etc. etc.) into the BGT context.
So... when they all got installed- and i REALLY unchecked all Crap- you will have a UBER twek it seems.

I just hope this fanatics wont make any Dragon Age  mods.
I mean, its not really funny to fight 10 times more enemys, who are better hitting, have more HP and wil give you only halfe the XP.
I get some "more" XP,- because of BG2 elements- by Locks, Traps and Spells (lucky me F/M/T :D),
but it got nerfed to some xx XP points <_<
So ... its really some tough fighting.

But sometimes you have luck and find something useful.
I had to fight most times with the Longsword(1 Point= 1 Attack per round, duh!), because the stupid 2h-Swords
kept breaking.
After Nashkel i went to the Spy in Beregost and in the Tavern was  a Barbarian NPC.
I killed him like all others :D.
And ... wtf???... he has a Two Handed Sword +2 ???
Ridiculous, but ... wont look a Gift Horse in the ... :)

So fierce

Just hit level 6 not sure what level to aim for, i know 12 would be optimal, but being a warrior with no armor and no bow is a real stinker!

You can drop points into daggers or axes and use throwing versions of those weapons for ranged combat. Not as good as a bow, but it gives you a ranged option and applies strength to damage.

My preference to dual-class out, especially when soloing this combination, is level 13. In BG2 you get an extra 1/2 attack at that level. Pair that a certain gauntlet you find in Watcher's Keep that grants another 1/2 attack, and it's three attacks per round unhasted with a single weapon, or four when dual wielding. Five if you use an offhand weapon like Kundane, Belm or the Scarlet Ninja-to.

You wont need it. Just get yourself the Shield-Amulett in BG1, thats all you need; just sell and rebuy it.
Because you will need epic level for "Use all Items" anyway lvl 12 would be better then 9, which is more for da Mages-build.

You can also find a Shield Amulet in d'Arnise Keep. Eh, if I understand what you both are talking about. I think I'll step out of this now, as my experience with modded BG1/BG2 is nonexistent unless you count Ascension.

Yes, you get it in De#Arnise Keep. -the Crate in the Cellar, right before you go to the Umberhulks and Torgal, right?

But you can get it already in BG 1.

I know i have found it somewhere this time... lol .. forgot it ^^

And i just had some tough battle, where both sides used epic modding !:wizard:

At Firewine Bridge i got ambushed by modded Assassins. I only survived against a 4 group with buffs, because of my new Wand of Summoning. I thought "lol, how can some Hobgoblins help me in this?"
But the Wand is also changed. Now it summons 3 Yuan-Ti or 3 Greater Yuan-Ti !!!
That was a damn hard battle, especially when i got hit by Hold Person; and then also 3 Trolls appeared, so
i had almost have to use my last charge of the Wand

I went to the Firewine bridge (remember the excavation Skellie? The questgiver ave me a -modded- extraquest for there) and found a hidden entrance, wher i fought a dozen Zombies, who i couldnt almost hit and who were immune to normal weapons + 2 Vampric Wolves! The Zombies surrounded me completely - damn! havent made pics <_<-
,so i could hit the Wolves with my 2hander out of their reach :D
But for the Zombies i needed a Giant Strength potion + i needed to charm one Zombie; they attacked him al, but they couldnt hurt each other, because of their immunity lol!

Afterwards i even found a Lesser Vampire (4000XP yay! :wizard:) in the new Dungeon. Lets see what else happens.

Harder. Not impossibly hard if you know what you're doing, but definitely more difficult. It invalidates some of the cheesier tactics possible in BG2, and makes a few undeservedly weakened bosses as strong as you might expect them to be. Ilasera and Demogorgon in particular are greatly improved.

The final battle is Ascension's biggest change though. It completely changes it up and makes the fight much more interesting and exciting. Sorry for being a bit vague there, but you mentioned not playing ToB before.

Just a note on the kensai : you might think about dualing at level 13, because you get an extra half APR that way. Which for a damage dealing tank is a mirracle really. Of course, this will mean you will need another 470 K XPs but still, just pointing this out.
Also, at the last pic of Sarevok : that looks remarkably like the damnable hand from Icewind Dale... I hate that place... Seriously...

Edit : also, would you mind if I would join in a run? I mean, I do have some runs active, like my no reload cleric dwarf ™ run going, but I think I can handle more runs just fine...
I was thinking a bloody sorc... I love those bloody sorces...

Ouch 470k sounds painful for BG1 :)

Yes its the Hand, but dunno if you hated it in IWD 1 or IWD 2 :D

I would really like to join you in a "no reload" run, but i had to fight now 4 "Lesser" Vampires with a lvl 4 char.
I just found out, that i had a Scroll of Undead Protection and just thought: "YAY! Undead bashing for freeee!!"
But noooo. Mod-suckers nerfed this also and it "just" gave me Protection against Level Drain <_<

As I recall it wasn't nearly as nice as, say, Diablo. I tried it twice, once on a LAN and once over the Internet (with a Black Isle forumite across the continent from me). The LAN game was nearly lag-free and we had to travel together from area to area (party required transitions) and so forth. The Internet game was lag city and I died to things I never saw, plus my cohorts were using all manner of hacks and running around as dragons and whatnot, so it was mostly a goof-off session.

It can be done... ymmv.

It isn't as bad nowadays. Back then it *was* awful. Broadband makes it much more manageable. Well, at least with BG2. I played through most of chapter 2 with a friend from across the pond and there was zero lag. There was an odd delay when you typed text, but it was no more than a second. Combat itself ran without a hitch.

The clumsy thing about BG2 (and BG1) multiplayer is that you're forced to watch whenever someone talks to certain NPCs. Usually the ones with dialogue trees. You also have to transition as a party; although it is possible to explore buildings in an area if a doorway doesn't lead to another map. Reloading was a bit of a pain too. First the primary player loaded a save. Then all the characters had to be enabled. Finally, there was a slight delay to reconnect players before the save loaded. It's brief really, but if you're used to single player it will feel slow and clumsy in comparison.

The game is actually great fun in multiplayer. It just isn't intuitive compared to a game built with multiplayer in mind.

You haven't mentioned the biggest problem : The pause. First, it rarely happens that the game will pause at the first space bar pressed. Then, having more players will make a chaos and it may happen many times that someone insta-unpauses and you don't have the time to make tactics. That's my most frustrating point at least.

Of course, the hoster is able to give some rights to the other players as well as not.

Dont forget the Reload-disaster after certain death!

Even as a single player this made "mp"gaming very annoying :)

I didn't find pause too problematic, but that is probably because it was just two of us and we discussed our strategy before every major battle. I can see how it would be annoying with a pick-up group though.

Whoaaah, a 98? Holy.... woah :P

I with normal rolling got max a 95 and with uncommon rolling (with a program called re roller made by frabjous) was able to get an 100 with a elf ranger after 3 hours of auto rolling (aprox. 14 rolls per second done, now make your calculations :D )
