The note on the profile page says it may take up to an hour to update, but my mage character has never been updated and he's up to level 3. Is this still a common problem on the site? I noticed some posts on this topic about a month ago but it doesn't seem like it's come up much since then.

I think you have to be logged in when something happens in order to update, except for achievements. I've still got the first Dwarf Noble character I made on my profile the first night and deleted him shortly after because he looked mentally deficient in most cutscenes. It hasn't been updated since. Doesn't help that the login server kicks me off in under 2 minutes. I tried logging in and racing the clock to make a new character to use as my avatar the other day, and got kicked off before I could finish making the face.

I'm guessing from these responses that people have largely given up on expecting that these issues will be resolved in the near future, as opposed to the issues actually having been resolved.

The game data only uploads when you do a manual save (or it's supposed to anyway). So if you only use quick saves, try to save the game the slow way ^^

I find it also helps to leave the game turned on and logged on in the background (when you are not playing) while also being logged in to the social site. I suspect this is especially true if it's done during non- peak hours.



Even so at this point in time it is more likely to take days or even a week or more to update than to do so in an hour - they are smply experiencing massive amounts of uploading beyond what was originally expected and the whole profile thing is likely to remain a work in progress for weeks to come or longer.

I've done this.

I also did what wanderon suggested about being logged into the game and on the site simultaneously.

I guess it does come down to unanticipated traffic issues. Hm. Well, I hope the servers get upgraded or whatever is required to get this working properly soon.

Well my game won't let me stay logged on for more than a few minutes without logging me out. If I set the game to stay logged in at all times I get a pop up in game that I got logged out. Any my profile has not updated since like the day after the game was released.

Aye, I've got a bunch of characters through their origin stories but the last one (done at least a week ago) still shows as level 1, 0 xp and no picture. Other characters' stats are well out of date too. I don't particularly mind, but if it's supposed to be working ....

All the time. Myself and 3 of my friends are playing this game and we like to check on the other progress, new characters, new gear. We comment too!

Just to be clear: you registered on this site? My games -> Register Games, then choose the appropriate platform.

why don't all my profile faces show i got like 3 that are black

I find that accessing the site from the game helps a lot. Obviously, this only works on the PC.

That doesn't help for me. I manually save a lot (really, a lot), but nothing good. Also keep the game running for a long time, also no good.

Part of my profile gets updated about once a week, but my dwarf noble is still at level 1 on the social site, while he completed his origin story about a month ago.....

A friend of mine keeps getting new achievements on his profile (including finishing an origin story), but his char is still level 1, 0 xp.

Mine won't update at all so far as my character or screenshots go. They currently have Sandal working as the profanity filter and he recognizes a few letters in my name that also exist in the word anus (itself not exactly a shocker of a word for an 18 certificate game). If there's one thing worse than a ****ing profanity filter at the entrance to online features of an 18 certificate game, it's a ****ing twitchy dyslexic profanity filter. With a knife.

For those playing on the PC, try deleting DragonAge.ini and let the game recreate it. You can find it in documents/bioware/dragonage/settings. There is a big thread on the PC forum that also contains other possible solutions. This one happened to work for me.

That's a known issue, although I'm not sure if there's a fix for it yet. I thought it was resolved. I suggest deleting the characters from this site, then importing them again. Worked for me when one of mine turned out to be blank.
