Mine had to be when there were big fight/action parts and you get the good cinematics before you go. Pretty much like Deadroads and the journey thru the caves was fun and especially fighting the golems, also the underground Elves place fighting the Werewolves was crazy. Endgame when you go back to Denerim and fight your way to the castle was fun. Im big on good cinematics and a huge battle afterwards, gets you into the swing of it.

So far, killing connor.
It's one hell of a sad/touching/shocking scene. Much more dramatic, darker, and meaningful then other alternatives.

I like the fight with that anvil thing where all the spirits appear and basically all the fights there was the most challenging parts of the whole game really.

My favorite part so far is Leliana's camp song. That caught me surprise and is hauntingly beautiful.
As for combat, I agree with XOGHunter246, the spirits in Deep Roads seemed to be a never ending battle. I kept wondering when it would end. I was exhausted when (during the third try) Ogren (sp?) was the last standing member.
I also liked the part where Alistair got in my char's face back in camp when he was angry with a decision made. I didn't expect that either.
Actually, when I think back on the experiences while looking at my screenshots, I seem to have a lot of favorites.

I'd have to say all of Orzammar. The Deep Roads is no doubt the best part of Orzammar but I also really enjoy the little things about Orzammar too like the architecture of the city, the difference in atmosphere between the poor section of the city and the wealthy section, the culture of the dwarves, etc.

I'd have to go with the Dalish vs Werewolves arc so far in my gameplay, I have yet to explore Orzimmar though. That's my next stop so it should be good.

I was totally in awe of The Fade first time I played. It fell just on the right side of frustrating, if you know what I mean.I also enjoy the whole Haven/Urn scenario, though The Gauntlet could have been more puzzly.
Another fan of the Deep Roads here too, though I didnt like Orzammar much. Felt too boxed in and for the size of the maps, the long loading times there are excrutiating.

1. the Dalish vs the Werewolves
2. The Deep roads
I enjoyed the Mage tower except for the part with the Fade: I really wish there was a way to skip the Fade

I agree, Deep roads history rocks!
I found the dwarf noble and dwarf commoner backgrounds very enjoyable. Gorim and Lester are the best. A pity how his history ends. I would like to recruit them

The song took me by surprise and at first I was worried she wouldn't be able to pull it off.... but It was an audacious stroke! What a great moment! Well done!
Some of the things I didn't so much like when they were happening .... such as the meltdown at the Landsmeet .... I appreciate more in retrospect...

It's too creepy for me to call it my favorite, but it's definitely the writing I respect the most and that's Brahka's tale in the Deep Roads, starting from when you find her journal to the conclusion at the Anvil. Wowsers.
My fave I'd have to say is the party banter, and yes, the Alistair romance. *sigh*

Probably right before the last battle, when everyone is cheering you on before you go fight the Arch Demon. Hearing what everyone had to say before the last battle was nice too.

Getting the dwarves to fulfill the Orzammar treaty. At first I was frustrated with the lack of information as a topsider, but the place just grew on me -- the lead up to the Broodmother, Branka v. Caridin, the bits of lore and atmosphere made for a compelling experience.
I normally don't find dwarves interesting in any fantasy setting. However, Bioware is the first game company to have changed my mind and finally made me give a crap about dwarves.

Strange, a lot of people, including myself, loved Orzammar or the Deep Roads.
I personally enjoyed the unsettling atmosphere you get for the introduction to Broodmother. It's a tale of disgust, anguish, and agony that cannot be described without causing someone to shudder in discomfort. It's hard to find a game that does that but remains fun or enjoyable for me.

1. Werewolves
2. Orzammar
3. After the Landsmeet just before fighting Loghain. I really liked his little speech on the value of a man is determined by his enemies...

THis game has potent ingredients but it's half baked. And the Hero achievements screen is misleading. That sucked. Btw, the Archdemon is no challenging, at all. This game build up tension just to blew it off the the very end, it really sucks.

The witcher, FTW!!! DAO's writer lacks compared to a real writer :Andrzej Sapkowski and that is a shame but it simply wasn't a real closure. Mass effect's endings were much better written.

The human noble intro.
The ancient temple/the gauntlet.
The broodmother.
Those three parts were the greatest to me.
And on a sidenote: I thought all the sidequsts, especially mages brotherhood and Blackstones were extremely poor!
