I've gotten several requests for new versions of the video, and I have a question for all of you!

First priority is to make a version with the standard FemShep.

Second priority is to have different characters find Shepard at the end. But who? Who do you folks want to have find Shepard the most?

I'll cast the first vote for Jack. :)

Ash of course Image IPB

I think you'll find the LIs in general will be popular choices for this one.

Save the occassional gag of Grunt finding Shepard and going "Is anyone else hungry?" Image IPB

Ash definitely.  It only makes sense since Ash has been there since the beginning, even though she wasn't in ME2.

Dr. Chakwas,

she was there from the beginning, too... actually one of the first characters Shepard meets in the series (and who is still alive...)

I'd go with this one as well. It's also a nice "return the favour" moment for Shepards who saved her in the Collector base in ME2. She and some soldiers would be great.

You should talk to those working on MEHEM and trade some notes. I bet a collaboration would iron out all the presentation issues.

As for who finds Shepard, unless you can orchestrate it to be your current LI, it should be someone who can't possibly be a love interest.

Maybe EDI since I could see her being first into the rubble safely, and most likely to locate the Commander. Additionally, there's almost no way to get EDI killed. It would be the safest. Even if your EMS was low and your squaddies got killed, and you took EDI, its her mobile unit, not her. She could just repair it and bring it along for the search.

Now, you may also consider just using a stock line like "Over here!" or something similar. Random salvage crew stumbles upon Shepard in the rubble. Would make the most sense.

My only issue with the rubble discovery is...the rubble. By far this mod is THE best nearly straight take of the official Bioware ending lemon and turning it into delicious lemonade though I still prefer MEHEM overall - it alters the official Bioware ending to a greater degree than does this mod.

Back to the rubble...and why I therefore prefer MEHEM that lacks it: how the hell did Shepard get into the rubble on the ground on earth when just moments before he was on the Citadel blowing himself up (in the official destroy ending...mindlessly marching towards the red tube while firing and while it is exploding...BAD Shepard! BAD! We duck behind cover when things explode! Remember your training!). He blows up the Citadel tube/device and is later found in the rubble on earth...clearly after a nasty/deadly re-entry that would be worse than the re-entry he suffered at the beginning of ME2 when he was spaced and then started streaking through the thin atmosphere of that planet. MUCH worse, with a terminal velocity of ~120MPH if he survives the hypersonic burning meteor-like entry in the upper atmosphere.

THAT is why I prefer a non-rubble ending overall but...still...in my mind some combination of this mod and the MEHEM mod would be THE perfect ending as far as I'm concerned. I really liked your memorial scene with Garrus holding and not wanting to mount the Shepard name plaque...very good.  To me MEHEM has the win though because it has Shepard with his LI one more time rather than imagining a future reunion as implied by finding him in the rubble, alive.

One nit on Bioware's part...we name our Shepards at the start of the game. He has a first name followed by Shepard (or she has a first name). Why didn't they simply tap that name and put it on the plaque? EVERY other name up there is has a first and last name, but not Shepard. His name is just "Commander Shepard".

I think that they put too much in the ending. The Starchild is interesting, but it's something that should have been cut out at some point in the editing process. It's fine to leave the Reapers as some big mysterious evil from hundreds of thousands of years ago. We don't need a god-character to explain it all in the last five minutes.

That, and they did what a lot of authors do, and made the mistake of making the ending of the story too radical of a departure from the bulk of the story. Let the plot find its logical conclusion. If the fans loved the plot (which they did), then they'd love the natural wrap up.

I agree. I would love to learn the origins of the Reapers, but they should have let it be more integral to the plot, with more foreshadowing and more speculation towards the mystery of the Reapers in the story instead then. The reveal of the Reapers reason for existing was my most anticipated moment, and i was so dissapointed by the way they chose to do it. I don't even consider it to be the real deal because the Starchild and his stupid organic vs. synthetics problem seem so contrived to the plot. It's clearly not the original idea behind the Reapers, and it shows so much.

I don't like the whole "galactic cleaning crew" idea for Reapers based on silly "synths vs organics".  I'd prefer they stay a mystery because they are "beyond our comprehension" ala ME1 OR have them be ancient berserker weapons from an ancient war millions of years ago...the weapons were self-replicating weapons designed to attack their creator's enemy but got out of hand and destroyed all.  Anything that replicates makes mistakes (impossible to avoid no matter how good your error correction is) and mistakes lead to evolution which led to the Reapers as they are now known millions and millions of years after their initial creation.  They follow a mutated program that equates to the cycles.  No silly self-fulfilling prophesy thing about making synthetics attack organics to make it so synthetics and organics must ALWAYS fight each other, blah blah.
