I have respec cards, I have never used them
If I want to try new builds, i promote. It takes about an hour to level up, less if you buy a shed load of recruit packs ;)

So without reading all 9 pages, do we keep the cards, but also have an option to just spend credits on a respec? Like when you go the store, you can spend credits or Bioware points... when you hit respec, it says 'do you want to use a card, or spend [x] credits?'

I'd say have respec cards in Jumbo packs in batches of 3 or 5 if you don't have 3-5 already.

Or replace the respec card button in the character Powers screen with a 5000 credit respec button.

The first option is very easy to do from server side and doesn't require a patch.

Quick and easy without a patch sounds like the way to go!

Add a pack that gives out respec cards + some random other junk, charge 20 or 33k for it and call it a Training Pack.

In that hour spent levelling up, one could simply have played 2 or 3 matches fully levelled up with the build you wanted to try.

Who's in?

1. Add 3 respec cards in Jumbo packs if you don't have 3 already.
2. Add a 5000 credit respec button in the character screen
3. Just make respecs unlimited and free

2 or 3: Yes

While I agree in principle, I don't think unlimited re-specs is a good idea. This is what I think

1) Increase cap. Anywhere from 5-10 seems like a good number to me, but I think there should be a hard limit.

2) Add option to re-spec for a credit fee. I see that 5,000 seems to be a popular. I like 10,000 myself, but the important thing is to have the option, not how much it costs.

If Bioware implemented both/either of these, I would be a happy camper indeed.

What's the thoughts on best option for getting respec cards once your manifest is maxed?

Veteren packs, or are they not actually uncommon?

Also, bump for making them more available: either in a specific pack, or upping their drop rate within their rarity.

that's what promotions are for.... Get over it. Whether you see a need to promote or not, that's how the game was designed. If you don't want to promote that's fine, but I think it was a mistake to include respec cards to begin with.

Unlimited respecs would be good. Especially like the idea of spending 5k to respec.

Well this is one thing Diablo 3 was ahead of it's time and did right.

Promotions are usualy for those people who like to level their characters.

I'm all for having a fixed credit cost for a respec (10k is fine) or making them a guaranteed drop on JEPs (similar to medigels, ops pack etc.)

My super amazing awesome logic idea for this .....

Increase Max re-spec card count to be the same as the amount of characters we can have .... Then it will seem unlimited while still making the RNG stink on ice by having to make us buy them in packs taking up a card slot for something more "important"

I get the reasoning for it, but it seems a bit short sighted. We need something that constantly eats at our finances and make us keep playing. I'm not going to vote against, but I'm not going to vote for either. I'm a bit to unsure what the consequences for a change like this could be. I personally enjoy that you have to "dedicate" yourself to one spec and not keep changing it between every game.

I'd use them all the time to try different builds. Atm it's not worth wasting a respec card to try a similar build with one different evo. And then wasting one more if you didn't like it.
