That's what the original humans are for, and why they have two of each. At least, that's what I think. You can spec the male for armor damage, the female for shield/barrier damage. Or vice versa. Even if that wasn't their intent, you can use them that way. It's pretty handy.
For example, I have my HMSoldier set up to deal with the geth, and HFSoldier for all the organics. With engineers, same. Etc.
Also, a "promote individual" button seperate from the "promote class" button would be nice.

There's enough items the store already drops as is that I can't get enough of, like specific weapon rail amps, and other consumables. I don't want infinite respec cards dropping to endlessly cluttering up and blocking my chances of getting those other resources I need.
Beyond that, any new players to the multiplayer already have bad enough odds for players hoping to get just the characters they want, let alone the weapons. I met a frustrated player tonight that really wants one of the newer characters, but his manifest is so small that he has to have incredible luck to get what characters he wants, and virtually has no chance without spending a ton of real cash or earning a boatload of credits.
As a postscript, I'm in favor of how the store already works, but would be very much in favor of expanding the ability to respec characters as long as it doesn't interfere greatly with store purchases, such as raising the card limit or something else I noted above. Relying on promoting isn't a very fun way to change one thing on a build for some of us.

i'm always experimenting and when i need only one card i just can't get one...last time i couldn't wait anymore and promoted the class. guess what was in the very next sp pack i bought?...

There's no reason not to let us respec. It's not overpowered. The challenge system is here so N7 ranking is no longer the only way to gauge experience. I would really like to be able to respec freely now; try new things, experiment, feel out what works for me.
Considering how many new characters there are, I would think it makes sense to just scrap the old, outdated, useless system and give players the chance to go wild if they want to.

I still need some more to re-spec another characters. But considering the annoying drop rates of the cards i am not going to bother spending again. Why can't they just make these available as soon as we run out ??? They could just appear in the same way the medigel / rocket etc consumables drop. Start to fill them as soon as we are out.
Is it that difficult to implement ???? Biower pls

That would be great. They used to drop either the next or the following SP after using one up. I've spent 1 mil on SPs without getting any as of the last few weeks.Air Quotes wrote...
