A "respec" card removes all the skill points from your character and lets you assign them again.  So if you have a level 20 character, it gives you all 84 points back with a blank skill tree.  Helpful to try other skill build options.

The alternative is to promote your character, but that takes them back down to level 1.  It can take some time to get them back to level 20.

Didn't want to keep my friends waiting anymore so I said **** it and switched to another character.
It didn't hit me how relevant this thread was until this happened to me.

 And make all my characters worse until I get them all the way back up to 20? I'd rather have one character that needs to be respec'd than gimp all of the 9/10/11 characters in that class.

I'm sure Bioware would rather put the credits for a re-spec at 50000 than 5000.  I'd personally like free re-specs, but I doubt that'll happen.  50000 is reasonable, though.

I think it's more that we're willing to pay that much. Personally in the last month I've spend 2.5 million, and only got 3 cards. I'd pay 100k per, simply because it'd be better than now.

ME2 SP was purchased respec. i could EASILY spend 50k cred on a respec and not complain..but on another hand, i dont know if the RNG just loves me, but respec cards are the one thing i am never lacking..i am always at 3 respec cards and i respec very frequently. but who knows how long that will hold up..

Think of all the casual bronze and silver players. 

While I can certainly play Gold, I mostly play Silver, and I think these prices would be too high. Oh, I missed "casual".

Regarless, my point was than even 100k per would be better than what we have now, even if it's still stupidly high.
