Mattock Assault Rifle
-Damage increased from [94.2-117.8] to [103.6-129.5]
Phaeston Assault Rifle
-Damage increased from [38.1-47.6] to [41.9-52.4]

-Revenent  + Avenger
Unchanged



 To be honest i would use the harrier X everytime, IF i had it .. haha

i curently have a harrier I 

so the question is : 
what AR would U use in (gold+platinum) over a Harrier I 
if all your other AR are maxed

Use your Harrier. I wouldn't use any of those over a Harrier I unless I was worried about weight, in which case Mattock.

None. The only AR I'd use over the Harrier is the Typhoon.

The Mattock is top tier - it is a nice balance between weight and damage.

Mattock is the best of those listed. After the buff it's probably the best non-ultra rare assault rifle available.

I've found the Revenent to be quite effective on the new N7 Destroyer because of the huge amount of ammo - I suspect the Typhoon will be MUCH better though (but I've not unlocked it yet)

With the buff a Mattock X has nearly identical dps as the Harrier I, is better against armor, has about the same damage per clip, has a lot more reserve ammo, and weighs far less.
Harrier X would still be better, but if all you have is Harrier I, you should probably take the Mattock X.

Typhoon > Harrier (Slightly. It weighs a lot more though) > Mattock > Vindicator > Falcon > Revenant > Striker > Phaeston > Avenger > GPR

I don't have the Particle Rifle or Collector Rifle.

Personally I'm a fan of the Phaeston; I like the machine gun feel (alright, not phenomenal damage, but large clip) with light weight and accuracy. I've been using it on my hunter-less Geth engineer and my Paladin.

That being said, I have yet to actually unlock the Harrier or the Typhoon.

the typhoon does have a major downside though. it does have a warm-up time, and for the first second, you barely do any damage at all. that might not sound dramatic, but anytime you get staggered, you have to warm it up again. same for leaving cover, dodging, running, etc.
so imagine this against the geth, where all but one enemy can stagger you.

if you get into CQC with that weapon, then you're screwed. you won't be able to damage a single enemy.

Seems to me the first few shots are very accurate though;  so bursting 3-5 shots puts them accurately down-range.  But the warm up time is not great when jumped in close combat.

So doesnt the Mattock X and Harrier X have the same damage per bullet, and it's just RoF (450 vs 550) and things like spread differentiating them now?
If one can click fast enough, the Mattock must be almost as gold-viable as the Harrier -  just long range vs short range.  I thought i'd never see the day...  thank you BW!

Harrier but only if I could use a secondary weapon (it runs out of ammo like crazy). If without secondary weapon, then revenant (I haven't got typhoon yet, that's why)

Harrier 1 is really good. If you didnt have it at all then the mattock.

i've had great luck with a vindicator on my sentinels in gold. dunno why. it just works well for me.

My Drell Adept is armed with an Avenger X as primary and an Acolyte X sidearm. Cooldown bonus at +200%. Gold, regularly with the occasional Platinum.

I'd love for BioWare to buff the Avenger.  Unlikely though, as it's a Common weapon.
