I am a relatively busy person (demanding job, newish baby), but
I’ve been playing Dragon Age as much as I can since release. Because I have started several different
characters, I have yet to finish more than 40% of the game in any single
playthrough. I’ve been playing on a PS3,
but I just purchased a new PC that can actually run this game. My question is whether the PC version of the
game has sufficient advantages over the console version that merit me starting
over one more time, or if the experience will be roughly the same such that I
should push on through with my PS3 playthrough (Note – I’m pretty happy with my
current character on the PS3).

I could just save the PC for ME2…

You might as well give it a go and see what you think. It might be worth waiting a week or two for some more DLC though.

If you are still playing and enjoying DAO, and you think you will play it a couple times more at least (or more with the potential modded campaigns) then definitely get it on the PC.

If you think you'll only play it this last time, maybe once more in the future, then save your money.

Return your console version to game-stop asap. That's what i'm doing, gettin a new vid card for x-mas so I can play it on the PC flawlessly.

Mods + patches that don't take forever + a lot less bugs then console. (PC players complain about bugs, but at least they've gotten 2 patches already... and there's alot of mods out there that fix certain bugs/problems with the game you can download, but console players have to wait for their patch in order to fix anything and the console patch still isn't out yet and even when it is i doubt even half of the console bugs will be fixed)

I own a 360 copy as well as a PC copy. At first I was playing on my 360 without any gripes but sure enough it's graphics are quite different with PC looking much cleaner. On another plus you can mod with your PC. I haven't done anything heavy. Just a Tool Tip mod which gives me spell/ability info I need. The controls are different completely and I prefer the PC version over console versions. Also, PC has more achievements than 360. (Not sure about PS3)

Consoles are for sports games or silly time-wasters. Any seriously meaningful game will only be found on a PC.

Having said that, there are plenty of significant advantages to playing the game on a PC versus a console, not the least of which is the ability to use toolset modifications.

From what I hear, the PC is the definitive experience. I've finished it twice on PC.

I just did this. Started on 360 when DA came out but a couple of weeks ago got a good PC. I was about 80% through the game on my 360 but straight away I forgot about that character and restarted on PC. Definitely worth it, it's a LOT better.

Stay with the PS3. Few mohths from now, there should be more new content to justify going to the PC.
