I got the crusader too, for the second time out of 3! And I too was wishing a Valiant would reveal itself.

To the crusader supporters: Am I missing something about this gun? It shoots more like a pistol and feels very difficult to hit anything that's moving! I barely ever see it used, is it actually any good?

It's not a great shotgun. Sure, it can sub for a sniper, but poorly. It's basically a Saber that trades half its magazine and extra recoil and extra weight for a little bit of penetration. I wouldn't take that deal.

The best part, OP? When you get Crusader IX and you actually want another one so you can be the first to max out a N7 weapon? Nothing but ValiantCanes.

My Crusader is now IV and my Eagle is III and still no Hurricane...

and its not that its a bad gun, it does great damage and is insanely 
accurate with inherent penetration, but its outclassed by other shotguns

and even though u can pretty much snipe with it, i would rather  use an actual sniper 

and the recoil makes it difficult to keep on target, every time u shoot ur looking at the sky

I actually wish I had the Crusader 8. It might not be the best, but aside from that, as someone else mentioned it means you're closer to maxing it out so no more Crus. I got the Eagle today. RNG hates me. Plus I'm sure Crus 8 isn't that bad, nor is 10.
