Ok so I've been running with an N7 Demolisher these last couple days as it was it was the first class I unlocked. As a support class the girl is awesome. Very helpful if you're sticking to an area or on small maps. The only problem I've found is moving objectives where the supply pylon becomes useless.

Having tried out a few things and reset the powers a few times I think I have a build worth using. It is as follows;

6/0/6/6/6

Supply Pylon (6) - Frequency/Damage/Grenade - I completely ingore any shielding. If your not behind cover in gold your going to get stripped and more grenade drops are always handy. Weapon or power damgage is personal choice and depends on your teammates builds.
Arc Grenade (0) - Really not a necessity for this build. It may help with stripping and providing an extra grenades but I've found that any build with two grenades just causes a distraction. Some may find the extra grenades helpful but you'll run out quickly anyway.
Homing Grenade (6) - Damage/Fire Damage/Armor Damage - Literally love this power. I have it specced for all out damage. Big boss enemies are your prey. You'll want to strip the shields first of course for maximum effectiveness. Although because the power is slow you'll want to take the enemy down to half/quater health. I find shooting any more after that and you'll find your teammates have killed the enemy before they hit. If you have a good team things should be simple. Lots of fun with reapers; it kills brutes/ravagers in pretty much two shots and can prevent pesky enemies from regenerating shields/barriers.
N7 Demolisher (6) - Damage & Grenades/Power Damage/Weapon Damage & Grenades - You'll want a good supply of grenades so I find this is the best and most balanced way to go.
Fitness (6) - Your standard health build. Melee is a non issue. This way you stand a chance running from point to point.

Weapons & Gear - Personally I'm rocking a Geth Plasma Shotgun X. Some prefer sniping but I feel the power of the shotty allows you to hold a position while giving you a fighting chance on escort/object missions. It's also best to equip either genade capacity or warfighter package for you gear bonus. The more grenades the better.

Strategy - Splode all the things! Actually no, bad idea. My strategy is to set up the pylon somewhere accessable for all teammates and move it around cover as and when appropriate. Placement next to resupply crates isn't actually that bad of an idea if its viable for the situation. More supply points = more grenades. Speaking of grenades, I find myself using them sparingly. Use your shotgun for most enemies unless your in a bind. Keep you grenades for the big guys or clusters of enemies. Unless your maxed out of course, using one or two grenades isn't going to kill you. It only gets a little tougher when all your teammates use grenades.

If anyone has any arc grenade builds they'd like to share I'd like to know. Testing out things is always fun.

Also what's her accent? I'm guessing Boston but I'm british so its hard for me to tell.

Arrrgh...I just reset her powers an hour ago, and might do so again already. I specced out of pylon, but now I'm thinking of forgoing the arc grenades as well and just using the Acolyte X to strip barriers and shields before unleashing a barrage of homing grenades.

arc grenades have a much bigger radius, stun enemies, sets up techs bursts and strips shields to nothing....ya....who would want that....

You here a Boston accent? Hmm.. I been hearing British accents from all of the N7 characters. Then again there is usally the narrator, screaming banshees or explosions going on while they talk so I might be mistaken.

Good build idea, Ill have to try that out.

Arc Grenades are fantastic. If you take the DoT upgrade on both Arc and Homing, you can set up and detonate your own tech bursts and fire explosions. Spec Arcs to deal specifically with shields and barriers and Homing to deal with armour.

I run 6/6/6/5/3 personally. 6/6/6/6/0 works too if you're desperate for that one extra grenade but with Capacity V you can carry 10 even without it. Disruptor ammo is optional, but makes a very satisfying crackling noise.

I may give that a try. Testing now. :D

I never understood the need for fitness for health and shields. It gives such a paltry amount that it just doesnt help. I put 0 in fitness and do just fine maxing out the rest of the powers.

On topic: I cannot stress enough the DoT evolutions, they stack which is nice, and can be used to set up tech bursts. At range shoot the homing grenade first, then throw arc. the arc travels faster, so it hits first then immediately gets set off by the homing grenade. this keeps you from staying out of cover to long.

6/6/6/6/0 works really well on platinum. Im convinced this class is broken. Like the guy said above one works well for shields and the other armor. Use the harrier with disruptor ammo.

I think the 6/6/6/6/0 spec works best, the initial health and shields are too small to get good bonuses from the health/shield fitness tree and besides that little bit of extra health/shields is pretty irrelevent on gold/platinum when u have to make use of effective cover and when ur gonna die, ur really gonna die. Also remember power damage increases grenade damage so the last spec on the passive tree can be set to this for massive grenade punch. However this works better if u have grenade capacity gear otherwise when you run out of gear, your weapons might not be just strong enough for you to survive whilst more grenades are generated. Im just lvling up my character now to test the power damge spec. Ill let yall know how it goes :)

This is all good and well, but can you please give me a description of which parts of each tree you picked? I'd like to try out the class, and it would be helpful if you could tell me which evolutions you picked for each power.
