This a tactic me and some randoms came up with.

Need:
Three phoenixes with smash maxed out for damage, 200% cooldown, and mental focuser
justicar with bubble (specced for warp) and reave maxed out, 200% cooldown, and mental focuser

Just run to the small room on top floor by the ramps and everybody smashes through the wall and anything that enters the room except the asari who reaves and set up the bubble. Everything dies. The only skill needed is during objectives, but if you can do gold you can do it on this map, unless its the upload then you are going to die. I don't remember exactly how long it was but it was about 47 minutes and the objectives were cap 4, kill 4, and pizza in that order. Got full extraction and we didn't use more than a few missiles and med gel. Just be sure to rez friends and smash any banshee going for a grab.

We also replaced one phoenix with a demolisher with arc grenade spam with some success.

You could also try Slash-based Shadows or Slayers as well?

if it takes 47 minutes its not worth it. its more efficient to farm FBWGG

True, but that was my first run. Now they are closer to 40 min. That said, it is still more reliable to do FBWGG and costs less equipment and time. But if you want a peek at platinum, its worth a look, especially if there is a nightmarish event like last weekend where bioware wants a platinum extraction and a lot of silver and bronze players are looking for their com packs.

47 minutes? Wow, me and my boys do it in half that time but I guess that's because we're on PC? Either that or we're better at the game. Doesn't matter. Though I personally would tweak your setup:

1 Adept Phoenix
1 Vanguard Slayer
1 Adept Justicar
1 Adept Fury

Now that's what you call a ****ing build. Marvel at the destruction lads.

I did this with randoms recruited from gold runthroughs, I listed the worst time so people have realistic expectations. Like many on the forums can get full extraction on reapers gold easy, but with a majority of randoms, you are lucky if you even finish the wave 10 objective.

And I recognize your loadout as Godless Paladin's technique which would require top level gold players as they take more risks and require more skill, his method is objectively superior to mine when done with decent friends in regards to time.

I'm xbox only though, sorry, but you could try it as many people (randoms) probably have at least on ex-cerb phoenix character and someone is bound to have a justicar.

GP has a thread on this in the MP forum.

But if you camp the small room you should be closer to 25min (we did that several times today), or faster if you go aggressive. We were using a Demolisher, Ex Cerbi Adept, AJA for one game, AA for one (not our idea, random guy), and Fury vs Paladin (Fury is better).

GP rolled ExCerb VG, Demolisher, Vorcha flamer, and infiltrator.

Look up two posts above yours to see my reply to FoggyFishburne, I mentioned him there. His idea was to have a variety of purely high DPS characters desling damage and cover all bases. Actually you can see his post here. I only mention this as it takes more skill to play as a flamer vorcha than it takes to just spam smash like no tomorrow. And randoms tend to panic easily when something enters the room or get anxious when they don't see enemies coming and run out of that roomonly to drop away from the group.

Don't grenades become a problem here by confining yourselves in that room?

It's a nice plan though, might give it a shot later tonight. Maybe switch out one of the smashers for a regular human adept for some shockwave goodness?

Not particularly.  The flaw with Platinum is the lack of low tiered enemies that actually toss frag grenades.

I am starting to think the best way to do this is one Demolisher with Falcon, Piranha and grenades, 2x Destroyers with Piranhas, and whatever 4th you want.  AJA, GE, something semi-self sufficient with area buffs are nice.
