I like the Asari and i didn't feel offended. I understand some people may think different than me and i have no problems at all with this. Some people like the Asari while others prefer the Quarians or the Krogan, but in the end we all like Mass Effect.

Another different thing are the people who periocally leave their thread-basement just to show some character hate.
I guess it is very difficult to practice self control, but all worth things keeping are.

I think the main reason why Kaidan was turned bisexual at the end of the trilogy was because GayShepard's needed more options. Without him all gay Shep's have left is Cortez who isn't even a squadmate...so... I can however think of quite a few reasons why Bioware decided against doing the same with Ash. IMO, she's made it clear that she's attracted to dudes, well a lot more than Kaidan has anyway (lol). Seriously though, I don't think it best for her character considering everything. That's always been my opinion on the subject.

That drunk suggestion is plain stupid excuse. I wouldn't hop into bed with dudes if I was ****faced! Like come on... That's coming on desperate there.

That's where the universes get meshed. In my femShep world Ashley does not come off man-hungry so who knows what the gal likes. FemShep never has a chance to find out one way the other since they don't go clubbing and chasing guys together or Shepard is allowed to make a pass at her where Ash can slap or kiss Shep back.

That's why I wish that Shepards could advance on any romanceable character and either the relationship advance or be shot down. Then there would be no debate about characters. The only problem is that players sometimes looks at other playthroughs and meshes the worlds. Jacob does not wait for romanced femSheps and now in every game he is called a cheater. Sorry. None of my Shepards romanced him so that does not apply in those universes.

But to each his own.

She doesn't come off as women hungry either. There's no attraction there. And Ashley likes men? As if that isn't obvious enough already. I always thought Ash was making it clear during the date scene on purpose: "Run along with the next guy who came along." but eh. Kinda proves that she goes for the men all the same. Ash is as common as muck basically her being straight just drives the point home.

And yeah, I'm not buying that whole drunk who-rah. I get drunk every other week, but my instincts still lead meh, even when smashed.

Drunk or sober people at times sleep with a person that they regret sleeping with later no matter the gender. But this is not real life peeps ... its a game. And I've not wanted women when they are drunk. People are not attractive in that state. Just ew!

In my headcanon ... anyone (male or female) that would try and take advantage of Ash when she is drunk would get a bloody nose by her. That gal is tough and doesn't mess around!

I said more likely, not that it was an infallible law. heck the idea was done before. in the bethesda Game Fallout New Vegas, there is a companion who is normally straight and is more likely when drunk to go for a guy than a girl but she does not care. not all women have lesbian experiences when drunk but it is more likely that it happens around women then men, but not all the time, and it was just a suggestion.

so it could be that ash is bi inb the attraction department but not the "i wanna screw you" one when she is drunk. we do not know what she thinks when it comes to women while she is drunk. She may think some are cute but just does not want to do the deed with her own gender.

The theory "Shepard-sexual" got damaged since out of the established characters, only Kaidan did the move from straight to bi. Other characters had clear preferences: Samantha is lesbian, Cortez is gay, Ashley, Tali, Garrus, Miranda, Jack, Thane and Jacob are straight. Vega is not interested in Shepard, same for Joker. Liara swings both ways (comes with her race), Kelly loves everyone.

By the way, nope, I don't watch much TV at all. I rather chat & do computer related stuff. Oh, and sometimes I go out too

Actually Jack is bi, she just isn't interested in FemShep for whatever reason.

In ME2 if you explore of all of Jack's conversation options, she'll reveal that she once had a three way sexual relationship with a pair of pirates she ran with for awhile. (one was male, one was female)

OneWomanArmy - Yep, and Ash is a tough woman. I still wish that we had more of her in ME3 and both Kimberly Brooks and I discussed a DLC for her. We both agreed that Ash needs one!

Yep... Taking advantage of someone who's plastered is disgusting, low, desperate and can be consider as rape in the morning.

i do sort of agree with that which is why i altered my theory abit. In the new theory, I have Ash being attracted to women while drunk, but not enough to want to go to bed with one, heck i'd Ash, while drunk around women, would just be a flirt, if a moody one who would punch someone (male or female) who ticked her off about being drunk. I doubt she would actually hit someone, due to the scen in ME3 where she offers to pay Shepard credits not to make so much noise

Alcohol may lower inhibitions but it doesn't make you do things you wouldn't have at least considered, while sober.
