New theory, Ashley may be bi and just not see female Shepard as anything more than a commanding officer and that is why she never expresses anything for fem!Shep. Same is true for fem!Shep, she does not see ash as anything other than a sister-at-arms and does not express interest in ash. THERE!!!

Ashley was planned to be bisexual in ME3*, but that was dropped (something about it "not fitting with her character").

Because they're different people and different people have different orienations?

truthfully, that just means she prefers men, not that she doesn't like women at all. she could be an open-minded straight girl and femshep just is not her type of girl she would go for under the most right circumstances,

As to the threesome question ... My headcanon says no. Not only would Ashley say no thanks but so would PV Shepard. He is not that kind of guy.

As to Ashley with Alexa Shepard, my headcanon says that there was a mutual attraction but neither confessed their feelings. It's a sad love story. Alexa was my forever alone Shepard. Poor gal.

She would of had to have stated she's completely straight for it to be canon.  People use the word canon way too loosely to express their own assumptions.

Jack is not 100% straight. 

She's had sex with women and mentioned "boyfriend or girlfriend". In terms of Shepard - yes. She simply doesn't find FemShep a romance option. Period. Ashley on the otherhand has never ever mentioned showing any sort of attraction towards women. In our society, we assume "straight until proven otherwise". In which case, there hasn't been an otherwise unlike Jack.

I'm sure there are just as many people laughing at your inability to understand the concept of bisexuality or that not every human being behaves the same way.
Is Ash straight..probably... but if they had made her bi in ME3 it would have worked just fine too.  It's really not that big a deal when you're dealing with fictional characters who's sexuality is not defined.

I don't think there will be an "until otherwise" if mighty female Shepard can't get her interested in women, who can? Ash is coming on 30, Jack is 24? By now Ash is confident and knows what she likes.

we do not really know her past. Could she have been with a woman before? Maybe. Maybe Ashley is just the type of girl who does not "kiss and tell" in other words, she may prefer men but how many she has been with or if she is exclusively interested in them, we have no clue, beyond what is programmed in the game. SO, unless you can point out where in game she states "Never been with a woman, never will." you cannot truely prove if she is or not because she may be the type pf woman to keep her sex life a secret, beyond what she feels is important (which is programmed in by BW)

While it is true that we shouldn't use a word like 'canon' when discussing Ashley's sexuality, since she never specifically states that she is straight, we can say there is a lot more evidence for her being straight than there is for her being bisexual. In fact, there isn't any evidence at all for her being bisexual while we know she at least has an interest in the opposite sex.

In short, the people wanting Ashley to be bisexual are grasping at straws, even if Ashley never definitively states, "I'm straight."

@OWA, all i was saying is that sometimes sexuality is never clear-cut, if it is never clearly stated. Ashley prefers men, i admit, that does not mean that she has never been with a woman or never will. simple as that.

@BadExamp1e, i just got to that point, listen to the rest of it YOU NIT PICKER. ash actually mentions it in response to a question by Shepard, about her wondering what life woud have been liek outside the military, and that despite her and her father not always seeing eye-to-eye, she is close to her family/ that line DEBUNKED by itself.

I know. It's like, "But Ashley could be bisexual!" or "She's straight until proven otherwise." which basically means: You're straight. But MAYBE you might change your mind.
