I don't like the way they announced it at comic con 2011 and we haven't heard anything about it since. Will it never be made like many other video game movies? I would love to see a movie based on the first game and it looked like legendary pictures were all for it. So what happened? Are they just being quiet about it? I'm hopeful that bioware or legendary will release some news on it at least by the end of this year. I would love to see a Mass Effect movie trilogy done justice with a solid cast. I know a lot of you say it couldn't be done because of the diverse choices - but they could just do one linear story based on the first game with what seem to be the most popular choices.

Legendary even have info on it on their website - http://www.legendary...tions-answered/

Heres hoping.

An anime prequel to ME3 called "Mass Effect: Paragon Lost" is in the making right now. Revolves around Vega. Really not what I would have preferred, but I guess it's something.

There have been rumours about a Mass Effect movie since 2007, I even remember there being a community poll on the old light blue coloured Bioware website about what director they'd like to see making it.

Seems like something that will never happen.

With Legendary Pictures producing the film, I doubt it will go anywhere. They are notorious for announcing planned adaptations and never following through on production, see Warcraft movie.

I hope not because it would most likely suck like most video game movies.

Most? I'm trying to think of any that didn't suck. :D Seriously, a bad movie adaptation could finish ME off for good, and I agree that bad adaptations are the norm for games becoming films. Long may it stay in development hell.
