Actually, it leaves you exposed and can be considered a burden. You are sacrificing the ability to protect yourself so you can unleash massive damage. It's an eye for an eye. If they cut the weapon's performance it will be utterly useless.

Heres another thing about the typhoon

It does not work on a gi, you cannot do the usual "gi multiplikative bonus abusal" with it

As a gi player i love this, it nerfes the gi without ruining it!

Yep, been saying this too. The gun is nice, but really not usable against Geth for example.

i don't think so, many people don't even know how to use it and if you nerf it, you will end up with something as bad as falcon...

You are not even funny after what i saw in this topic, not anymore... Revenant is pure **** on gold, small dmg, high recoil and unstable, and you neeed to stay out of cover too much. Don't have Mattock so can't say.

Saber is more like a sniper, then a rifle, small ROF and you need headshots for it to really work, so no, it doesn't count in my opinion.

Unless you're a Destroyer. Stunlock doesn't seem to happen to him at all. For my turian, though, yeah. Primes are a major pain in the ass

Are u kidding the Saber. I have it at X and the Paladin, even the Talon exceed it considering its slow ROF and weight.  
I love the Mattock but forget the Revenant but I wouldn't call it Gold viable without ammo/equip mod
You can take the Harrier and the Typhoon into Gold without bolting on equipment upgrades to make them viable
Check my manifest - I've had plenty of time to run weapons maxed out vs. the Harrier and the Typhoon which I'm still getting updates for

I dunno how bad your luck is to not get even one Mattock but a level 7 Revenant. Either way, the Mattock even before yesterday's buff was more than gold viable, you just needed to not mind getting a sore finger. The Revenant is very much viable on gold. I've scored well with it on gold with a bloody Justicar, nevermind on someone like a Turian, Geth or the Destroyer. The Saber is an assault rifle, whether or not it behaves like one in real life is kind of irrelevant. The Typhoon and Revenant aren't ARs either.

ALso, you don't really need headshots on the Saber. It just works stupidly well with that.

i have used the saber, revenant, phaston, and geth rifle all on gold multple times and got the full extraction. just because you cant use them properly doesnt mean they aren't gold quality guns...

and since you dont even have the mattock yet your opinion has little weight

Protip, put your response under the quote. There's nothing wrong with the Saber. It hits like a freight train and doesn't suffer from the failings of a sniper rifle (penalty from hip fire). The Talon fills a completely different role, why you compared it to that I dunno. See my above post for the Revenant.

I must not know how to use it because I found this gun underwhelming on Gold. The "spin up" time is a huge annoyance.

I just don't get why they felt the need to add another variable rate of fire gun. That mechanic makes no sense whatsoever on a rail gun. This isn't a minigun that actually has to spin up the barrels.
