Typhoon is like a GPSMG, the rate of fire goes up as you fire the gun. You will have to expose yourself to the enemy and get out of cover to maintain that rate of fire and take down bigger enemiers fast.

Tried it extensively yesterday.

Yeah, it IS powerful. I only tried it on devastator mode with all offensive perks.

But i guess that's how it's meant to be. I can liquefy Banshees and Atlases on Silver without reloading.... but very often i have to whip out my Eagle and shoot my way back to the nearest ammo crate.

Someone please explain the logic behind the following to me:

Complain that Assault Rifles are under powered.
Get Ultra Rare Assault rifle that actually works.

Lets see.. Its damn heavy and has huge recoil and the shots dont explode AND its ultra rare... If it didnt do a lot of damage it would be worthless. Kinda like the other ultra rares .

it meshes VERY well with the N7 Destroyer's Devastator mode though. It's almost like sitting on one of those gunturrets from the single player. Just the break to haul in some fresh ammo interrupts it all the time.

Thank god that bioware made it an Ultra rare. Yes its powerful but its true potential is reached only when you combine it with good tanky classes & slap some nice powerful consumables on it. It is the way it should be. These threads are going to have no meaning.

I don't have it either so for all I know it could be either overpowered, underpowered or reasonably well balanced... it could be situational, only really lethal on 1 or 2 classes; so I'm not gonna comment on the OP-ness, or lack thereof, until such time as I've thoroughly tested it. *shrugs*

So as I am reading - nerfing krysae was good but nerfing typhoon is bad?

It's like the Harrier with the recoil and damage output. Typhoon got more ammo though and also appears to have some armor piercing abilities, also it works a little like the Particle Rifle where you have to wait for a second or two before it actually starts doing some real damage.

It's a good weapon to use on gold or platinum, especially if you use it with the Turian Soldier or the N7 Destroyer. There are better weapons in the game though and it's not like this weapon is a God on higher difficulties. Of course it's OP if you play on bronze or silver, but so is the Predator or the Avenger.

It might be overpowering for the N7 Destroyer, since the Typhoon's weaknesses are made null and void, and the weapon's strengths are amplified while using the character. Other than that, it is not too powerful for its ultra rare status.

I don't think it's too powerful. It fires very fast and destroys lesser mob very easily, but the claymore or graal deal much more damage, especially against bosses. It's pretty sweet on a krogan battlemaster though.

Yes, there is no logic to nerfing. Sometimes it's good , sometimes it's bad. Depends on which group is playing on the bandwagon.

 If someone calls you a whiner, it automatically makes thier position stronger.
