It does have built in piercing mode. and it`s better thanthe one installed in widow and others.

Although it`s a killer with team`s support... it`s still tough weapon to use against enemy such as phantom. Even unsuspected pyro and hunters can be deadly.

People have solo'd gold with every class and pretty much every weapon.  See RedJohn's vids.

Gold is irrelevant since the addition of Platinum. Typhoon is just fine.

Well, i think most of these posts are done by a people who plays on bronze, maybe silver. In gold, there is nothing like overpowered weapon. Each has it's own use and is good in the hands of diffrent characters, for example Harrier is ****ty weapon (you are out of ammo in a matter of seconds, great weapon for other characters, but not for him, unles you will shoot in small burst) while used by destroyer, same goes for Avenger and many other guns. Typhoon and Saber are the only worth and playable guns for Destroyer. And Scorpion, that is very good in the hand of normal caster is worhtless in the hands of Destroyer. 

Also, try to kill Phantom in CQC with Typhoon. We will see how fast you will be watching the floor.

Ummm - I play almost exclusively on gold - occassionally on silver (if I've just promoted) and now platinum (private games only atm)...

The Krysae on the GI before the nerf was flat out overpowered on any difficulty ... now that's just a very, very powerful combo, but not game-breakingly so *shrugs*

As for the Destroyer, only unlocked him last night but he seems very, very effective with the Revenant (with stabilisation mod) if you ask me ... OP? No. Good? Yes, very.

I don't have the Typhoon yet so I've not been commenting on how effective it is (or not).

Honestly, I believe that too many things have changed in this game for anyone to know what needs balancing.

I have Typhoon at level II and with the new engineer it is a good weapon from when I have played it. Its close to being as good as my Harrier which I just got to level V. Also there is nothing that I saw that mentioned that there was armor piercing built into this weapon.


Comparing the Harrier V to the Typhoon at II ( also put in cooldown for Claymore X )

Harrier has twice the accuracy of the Typhoon
Harrier has 1/2 the ammo capacity of the Typhoon

Typhoon weighs a TON.
Cooldowns on Arush
Harrier V 103% 2.64 seconds
Typhoon II 11% 4.43 seconds
Claymore X 55% 3.33 seconds

So, it looks like bioware just gave us a good Assault rifle for a character that does not worry about cooldowns.

It's really not. I was playing last night with a pretty skilled player (on my own level, basically), and he was a Destroyer with a Typhoon. I was a Fury with a Phalanx. We had very similar scores, and he was only dropping enemies slightly faster than me, and I barely fired my gun. Plus I could stay in cover, and run around the map quite a bit faster than him.

It certainly is overpowered, but if you can't find an ammo box nearby you are screwed. Also, unless you're playing as a Destroyer it's really unwieldy.

I have so many hateful words I want to call you but can't due to the forum rules.  SO MANY.

As others have pointed out, this weapon weighs as much as a brick, leaves you exposed while firing it, has massive ammo issues, and is a freaking ultra rare.  Stop calling for nerfs, use your brains and THINK about why this weapon SHOULD be this powerful.

Disagree. Without any weapon mods, a decent character build, the slow rate of fire build up etc the gun is regular.

250% - 200% weight
44.5 - 55.5 Damage per shot
Ultra-Rare

Don't know the RoF, Accuracy or clip size (and spare ammo), so if some could give those as well I'd appriciate it. 
But I'm getting a feeling that the OP is probably off.
