Considering how rare it is, I wouldn't complain about its stats. It's supposed to be good if it's ULTRA-RARE. That's the whole point. If it wasn't then why even give it that rarity rank?

I ran into one big problem with it. On harder difficulties, it's really hard to get that thing going if the enemy has locked onto you. The gun requires you to stay out of cover for a good amount of time while the rate of fire speeds up.

I still do not have that ****ing gun. Leave it alone so that it does not suck when I finally get to it. ****ing nerfers. This is a goddam CO-OP game if someone else has a setup that they are good with you leave it alone so that they can help you. What is so difficult to grasp about that, THE SCORE DOES NOT MATTER. It's ultra-rare, and hence, it's hard to obtain. I have no problem with it being high-powered. Arguing that certain Rare weapons might be overpowered I can understand. But not ultra-rare. There is no pack with a guaranteed Ultra-Rare slot.

I don't have the weapon yet but from seeing this overwhelming evidence I have to agree, the weapon needs some heavy nerfs.

Wow.  You don't have the weapon, you haven't played with it, but you are calling for nerfs because of other people's opinions.

I have so many hateful words I want to call you but can't due to the forum rules.  SO MANY.

As others have pointed out, this weapon weighs as much as a brick, leaves you exposed while firing it, has massive ammo issues, and is a freaking ultra rare.  Stop calling for nerfs, use your brains and THINK about why this weapon SHOULD be this powerful.

Nerf herders have great difficulty forming their own opinions or even thoughts. I think they're a prime argument against natural selection/darwinism.

It's a rapid fire hitting machine gun of death with build-in piercing capabilities.

In all honesty, the gun shines mostly on Destroyers because of Devastator ROF and damage upgrades plus the fact that a Destroyer cannot be stunlocked, so exposing himself for a couple of seconds is not as much of an issue. Contrary to popular belief, the weapon recoil is perfectly manageable, no consumables are needed or stability mods or...Turians. You just point and shoot from the hip, simple as that. If you are able to...aim properly, you will kill stuff and since this gun shines on taking out heavies that stand out from a mile (Atlases, Brutes, Ravages, even Banshees), accuracy isn't an issue either. Ammo is an issue but really nothing to write home about, if you've memorized where the boxes are or are paired with a Demolisher.

On power classes the weapon loses its shine since it weights a ton, so it's not suitable for them (and was never meant to be). On classes that don't care about cds (grenades classes, eg Vorcha Sentinel or Demolisher) the weapon is decent but far from overpowered.

That's all there is to it, really.

What r peoples issue with the nerf/buff every frekkin thing in this game? Doesn't make any sense and its really annoying and frustrating.

ULTRA RARES are supposed to suck!!!... Sarcasm. I've not tried it on an infiltrator, but, as long as it's not the best weapon for infiltrators, I like it. It brings classes like the demolisher and non power using classes up to the same level almost.

Yeah, it would be nice to see what the OP plays - if he drops into a PUG Plat or even Gold w/ his Typhoon I, I doubt he'd be singing the same tune. That being said, his manifest is so underwhelming that maybe it is the best gun he has? I don't see any Rares even close to X so I don't even know why he'd post or what basis he'd make for his comparison?

And not that it needs more repeating, but the Typhoon is definitely not OP, especially considering that it's one of the heaviest guns in the game, making it suitable only for non-power classes, that it requires exposure to lay down its DPS, that it's low per-shot damage means it requires AP to do any substantial damage to armor, and even w/ all that, it just doesn't kill as fast as other, better, and still not OP weapons.

As the enemy grows stronger and tactics are added, we need characters and weapons to give us an edge, the Typhoon give us the edge in upper levels.

What concerns me on these nerf posts, is yes many characters, weapons etc could be considered OP in low levels, maybe Bio puts code in to ensure they are only used at a certain level, I have the gear to wipe out an enemy in Bronze and dominate the game no question, I can also do it in Silver, that is not how I play personally.

So let me suggest to gather up three friends and go do a gold or plat run and show us a screen shot of your success and full extraction.
