I don't have this gun yet but am looking for the answers to a few questions.

Does the AP ability of this weapon extend to negating damage reduction versus armor? Also, I see a "damage reduction amount" attribute for the weapon in the game files with a value of 0.4 which makes it seem like the weapon gives you DR when you're using it. Can anyone comment on that?

I saw this guy once. He was firing a gun and it was killing things. Thus, I concluded, his firearm was more powerful than anything I have ever seen. It's power should be drastically reduced in order to restore the balance of the game and the rest of the world.

I literally just unlocked this gun about 10 minutes ago, and I've finally found an assault rifle I like. Don't ruin this for me. Certainly don't ruin it for the people who have yet to unlock it, but want to. Seriously.

I disagree, OP.

Used it yesterday in a random gold match against Geth while playing an extremely tanky N7 Destroyer with full shields (no points in missile launcher). Because you have to stay out of cover so much to take things down, you still need to be careful when using it. Unlike powerful snipers, which can take down a boss in just a few shots, you have to pour a ton of ammo into a Prime to kill it.

Conclusion: leave my new AR alone!  It's fine as is. The Harrier and Typhoon are the only  assault rifles I bother with anymore. All the rest are pathetically weak compared to automatic and semi-automatic sniper rifles.

I don't think the OP is in a good position to really stipulate this claim... given a really weak overall manifest, there's no frame of reference. You'd need to actually know how it compares to other weapons, and on what level of difficulty are we talking about, etc. Without these specifics and comparisons its hard to say really.

I haven't been in a single game with anyone that used a Typhoon yet even, and wasn't lucky enough to unlock one either so far.

In every group, there is a whiner. They snivel and whine - a cursed disease upon this Earth. They complain that this or that is overpowered - yet we all know why they cry.

Its like that kid that cries when other kids get toys and they get nothing. They don't have have it, or its not level 10, so they look inside their own dark souls - and then they complain. They cry its overpwered - but the truth is if they can't have it maxed, no one can!

The Developers, who listen exclusively to the whiners, will nerf the gun into oblivion. They would rather kill every single class and every single gun rather than tell the whiners to STFU and burn in hell. They already ruined this game - and they might as well keep ruining it.

Pretty much this, also the OP did not stipulate what difficulty level they used it on. 

Also the enemies listed, 3 of the 4 have armor, guess what, the Typhoon has innate armor piercing, so it's going to do a lot better against those three enemies than most weapons. 

It is better than almost all of the assault rifles, at level X it will probably be the best (on certain classes), but that should be the case given its rarity.

To be effective you have to be able to 1) have sustained fire to benefit from the increased rate of fire and 2) be at short to mid-range (unless you are a Turian) and 3) expose yourself to enemy fire. It's so heavy that only a few classes are going to make the most benefit from the weapon as well.

I have to ask if the OP is playing on Platinum. Playing on Platinum I doubt they would feel that way.

Also a thing to take into consideration is this......the N7 Typhoon is a N7 Rank (ultar-rare) weapon so of course it is going to have some power to it. Heck I love the gun on my Destroyer but it takes almost an entire clip to kill an Atlas or a Brute. That is 240 rounds into it. Verses with my Javelin it takes me 3 shots to kill a brute and maybe 7 to 9 shots to kill an Atlas, also an N7 rank weapon.

OP is freaking nuts... that gun is a covering fire light machine gun. I would say it's the best damn thing that has happen to the game right next to the supply pylon. nerf it! hell no give it more rounds! people never want to help other it's always well I'm killing to good it better get nerfed. it draws fire and can melt an atlas or any boss because it draws attention. with a pylon oh baby!

a infy hacking, a pally using a shield to protect shots from a ravager, an engi supplying rounds and chucking nades, and a N7 soldier holding the line with this LMG. now that looks like a team. why nerf that?
