I think it's a pretty good character.  I know score isn't everything but just a sample from a couple of games I've played over the last couple of days.




That's using the Pistol Cranial Trauma System II on a Carnifex X with a Gear Bonus of Vulnerability VI IV. I also had the Geth Plasma SMG X as backup, but don't recall ever switching to it.  I don't know why people are saying it's that bad.  I seem to do ok with it.  I mean 75+ kills with over 20 headshots each time is damn good compared to some of the other characters I've played as.

I love my paladin with the frost shield evo. That shield has saved me from many a painful deaths.

Multiple pyro's infront of you? Drop shield and ed/attack between the firing delay and then redrop shield.
Prime? Keep the little turret he summons killed and melee/gun his butt down with the shield while using ed if you need to.
Phantom at distance and no cover? Drop shield and take no damage and wait for a chance to move to cover/close in on her.
Hunter close to you? Shoot once,ed, then shield bash.

You just need to play the paladin smart and not be to aggresive/passive and he will shine.

The N7 Paladin is a great character, but! Out of all the new N7 classes I've play so far (Fury/Slayer/Paladin), I find this one to be unfortunately the weakest. Most paladin's on gold/platinum or either a caster, or setting back most of time shooting like everyone else. The shield is just too high risk for the rewards on those difficulties.. It's nice to be able to block, and take no damage from enemies attacks + a little Cyro Explosion here and there, and fling enemies around who get to close to the shield. but outside of that, I really don't use or see anyone who a paladin on those difficulties use the shield a lot, which is the main attraction to play this class here.

I really wish Bioware would've made it possible where you can move and shoot/powers with the shield still held like the Guardians, then the N7 Paladin would be really good.
