I'd gladly accept weekly updates for any game, as opposed to a game with potential game-breaking glitches. If you are one of those who has to cry when the game downloads a patch that takes around 5 mins to download/install...
The flipside to this coin is that many developers are fully aware of the bugs a game is going to ship with.
There simply is not enough time to reliably fix them without creating more problems. A game ships with bugs, known or unknown, and this is the most stable version of the game the developers have made before having to answer to the shipping date.

Yep. The difference between them is the omniblade gives a 50% bonus, but increases the weight of the gun.

If it's anything like the tech armor, the hologram is just there to let you know where the blade is, the cutting's actually being done by a minifactured blade. Both of those things would require some serious hardware to produce, it's like strapping another omnitool to you gun.

They are rare mods so they will drop as frequently as the rare mods did that were in Earth DLC.

It may accompany the DLC but I doubt they are in the same file. The MP and SP teams are different entities and most likely don't collaborate a huge amount. They will be released when they're without bugs and I am okay with the extra wait if it means less bugs with weapon mods.

I just spent another 300,000cr (1 PSP and 4 spectres) after reading this and got nothing but consumables (bringing my total spent to around 1,100,000 since I got anything other than one use items). No gear in the dozen or so uncommon slots, no gear in the 8 or so rare slots... Is this online patch online yet? I've been saving up credits and refuse to spend my usual MSP on this DLC until I know that there is at least a chance that I'll get something that is not gone after a single match.

That's nice but not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about ANY rare gear or ANY uncommon gear in the slots that you have a 100% chance of getting (multiples even in the same pack!) in EVERY spectre and PSP. You ALWAYS have a rare and and uncommon in those and I have dozens of unfilled slots of both yet recieve only consumables for the past 1,000,000cr+. I have not gotten a single item other than ammo or one use equipment for the past 1,000,000cr+. Do you feel 1,000,000cr is a good and fair price for disruptor ammo or cyclonic modulators and its friends and nothing else?
I'm not one of those people who are complaining that they bought 3 packs and didn't get their exact choice of an ultrarare or a new character when they don't have the old ones done. I have every rare weapon, every character mod, every gear prior to the ones in this DLC. The only things that should be dropping in rare slots for me are the remaining gears and some consumables. Prior to the DLC, I got about a 1/2 to 1/3 chance of gear (the last thing I had available) for each rare slot as I spent a million credits the day before the DLC to round out my equipment.. after the DLC, I'm ZERO for about 20+ rare slots bought since maxing out my weapons and characters again. The only day I ever got any gear was the first day of the Earth DLC release and not a single one since. That was fine as long as I was getting characters and weapons but I'm not getting those for the past 1,000,000cr+ either.
