What Would Be Wrong For The Paladin To Have Slow Movement Speed Like The Cerberus Guardian?

I agree though he should be able to move with it as long as he can roll. classes that cant are annoying to play.

If the Paladin could at least walk with the shield, I'd be happy, and I would play that class. For now it's just going to sit there gathering dust, like all the other classes I don't play.

The shield is much more useful for melee purposes than it is for defense right now that you can't move with it at all. Still, the class is quite fine as it is, but it would be awesome if they made slow movement with the shield possible.

I totally agree with this, the Paladin is a tank/protector, he should definitely have the ability to move at a reduced movement speed at least. It would make him actually be able to play the role he was supposed to play.Grumpy Old Wizard wrote...

1) Make the shield regenerate a certain number of hit points per second. Maybe based on his number of shields. Or even based on the difficulty level, to keep the shield viable in each difficulty level.
2) Allow the paladin to move slowly with the shield deployed. He should be a tank, not a stationary wall.
3) Give the paladin some damage reduction when the shield is deployed. He is easily flanked or gibbed from behind.
4) Allow the paladin to use his powers when the shield is deployed, but at a higher cooldown rate.
5) Allow use of one handed weapons when the shield is deployed.

I just hope the balance team can add a patch to give him slow movement or have that be a option in the power tree

I just don't understand he is a defense liability since he can't move with the shield yet a cerberus human guardian can walk with a iron shield and shoot you in the face with a pistol....
