Why I may not be ****** like that guy was, but a Widow is a bad weapon for platinum imo. You need to use something that packs a punch but at the same time has a decent sized clip. If you were the last one left and made the wrong turn, you'd be destroyed using that weapon.

I give everyone a try though, unless you have the striker equipped or you have an awful character / weapon / gear / consumables combination.

haha i actually use the striker with my krogan sentinel now. can rack up kills with that thing if aimed properly and combined with fully upgraded lift grenades, he's a walking ball of mass destruction.

I don't use consumables on Gold, because most of the time I don't need them at all, and it's a PUG. Not going to risk it on a 50/50 chance the match will fail. Just like how I won't use any gels/rockets in the first three waves. If i'm right next to someone and they don't pick me up, then they can do the wave without me.

I'll always use them on platinum, if the other players are as well though.

My theory: If they're using equipment, then so will I.

That way, it's not just me that loses stuff if we fail. Had a good match yesterday where we all got to wave 10 without ANY equip. Damn hack objective at the base of the stairs on FBLon..... *shudders*

Have to say though, my HS loadout with Saber and Claymore does damn well on platinum. Only cause I don't have an N7 Soldier. :'(

I tried to play a PUG Platinum game last night, and all I was getting was >N7100, and sometimes N7-200 with a low level character, in FBWGP. This happened while searching 6 or 7 times. I also got a lobby with guys using Krysae and Striker.... it seemed suspicious.

Then I joined a U/U/G.

I hear things like this frequently when I switch to my Drelldept.

that's complete and utter lies, and anyone who says it knows very little about the functionings of ME3 Multiplayer.

On caster classes (whom never really put everything in fitness), there's is virtually no point of adding fitness at all. On platinum, the shield gate is the only thing saving you from being one-shotted by every weapon out there. As such, the Drell adept will be just as durable/fragile as a Cerberus adept. And have worked on the team as a Cerberus adept for a while now (with nothing in fitness) without ever seeing much trouble.

In terms of being the best setup for a Smasher team, the drell is far superior to the Justicar, as while she is getting duration on powers (which counts for nothing, as the targets will be detonated and killed long before the reave wears off), the drell gets power damage, which will overall improve the effectiveness of the biotic artillery firing on the enemies. The justicar however does also recieve the sphere, which may help remotely if set up properly. If the shield recharge ability is taken, then it may be a good choice between them, otherwise I'd take the intelligent Drell any day.

In short: A skilled Drelldept will be a far more valuable asset than a Justicar in detonations and damage alone.

You are right about the widow not being enough if you are last man standing. It just happened to me, was last guy standing 15 seconds after the beginning of wave 1 , held 30 seconds before being overwhelmed.
It's still great when team fills other niches though.

Oh and by the way, because of this thread i used best gear on my last try, and lost it all on wave 1 of course after about 1 min of play, wich i played by myself for half of it.
So using that theory of those who think the rude guy was right, i would run out of gear in about 15 minutes of my day if i don't check the quality of the Pug team before i engage my ressources.
