The darkspawan are infact the creations of nug alchemists from the time of the last nug empire when the dwarves began rounding up nugs for snack food. Don't let the cute(if increasingly infuriating) squeeks fool you the nugs seeth with bitter resentment at their defeat and unleashed the darkspawn as a vengeance!!!
